The led clock on my 99 camry dashboard seems to fade in and out.
all other lights inside and out seem to be fine.
anyone seen this before?
is this a pointer to a battery needing replacing or what?

Mine does it too once in a while. I just hit the top of the dash and it goes back to normal. I am guessing that it is a loose connection. I am way too lazy to spend a day off or a weekend pulling the dash apart. Please note I am a college student who has a 4 day weekend with a break in between my two days of school. Who has it better then me?

If it were a battery problem, you would notice it in all the lights. As WNYC noted, it is probably a loose power connection or ground.

Probably not your problem, but you should be aware that the clock dims when the headlights are on. (so it's not too bright at night)
