SC GSR and camarosZackKVtec 03-12-2006, 05:36 PM Well, i dont race often, or post often but i figured i took the integra out the other day for a while and got a little action. First off, i have to reconnect my battery and pop start it every time i want to take it out, because for some reason my alarm is going off and i cant get it to stop. I'm an idiot yes i know, but i drive a tacoma daily so im not in a rush to get this fixed until i seriously start tuning my car. As of right now, im running 6psi, stock timing -1 degree for every lb of boost via a JR BTC, and a sp2 (2.36") exhaust. I was cruising down a 2 lane road with a lot of straights and stop lights. I was cruising about 35 just chilling and 2 burbling camaros cruise by me, the first one even nodded when i looked over. I'm not sure of the year's but one of them had 2.8 FI written on the back, and the other was probably a couple years newer. Both were obviously slightly modded, with dual straight pipes coming from the back, and a nice loopy idles. Anyways, one of them cuts in front of me and they both catch a redlight with me right behind them. They both let out some nice growls so i figure why not toss out a rev. My revs went up faster then i thought they would and i let out like an 8000 rpm rip, and i hear, in a dumbass sounding voice "did i hear a dirtbike?? hyuck hyuck hyuck" At this point i knew it was time for me to snuff these guys out a little. Light turns green and they just take off kind of slow, up to about 40, then they both punch it. I follow suit, hit 65 in second, shift into third, bring it up to about 90ish, and then i thank god this guy didnt decide to hit his brakes, because i was inches from his bumper. He then looks in his rearview and has the most shocked look on his face. I was satified, so i tossed him a little cocky wave, and turned off. Nothing pisses me off more than some ignorant person pigeon-holeing me because i dont have a v8, i hope i get to see them later on this week, cause i got a 4-1 header, 2.5" test pipe, and an AEM short ram on the way.... fools VR43000GT 03-12-2006, 06:45 PM Nice, but as being discussed in a different thread, don't follow someone's ass real close just b/c they're being a prick. If he would have hit the brakes it would have been your fault end of story. And once agian, import sport car + young driver = high insurance. Add a crash that is your fault on top and your looking at a fat insurane bill. 95z28m6 03-12-2006, 09:29 PM Mabey he will think twice about picking on another "dirtbike" in the future. Chiquae07 03-12-2006, 11:33 PM agreed BlackGT2000 03-12-2006, 11:59 PM If he had a 2.8 I really don't think you were hearing "nice loopy idles" from a v8. TheStang00 03-13-2006, 12:18 AM good kills... kinda ZackKVtec 03-13-2006, 12:20 AM Nice, but as being discussed in a different thread, don't follow someone's ass real close just b/c they're being a prick. I wish there was another lane so i could've just passed them. If he had a 2.8 I really don't think you were hearing "nice loopy idles" from a v8. Oh yeah i definetly feel that, the loopy idle i was hearing couldve been from the camaro directly in front of me. Not the one diagonally from me, i should've specified more. Also, there couldve been an engine swap done on the one diagonally from me, otherwise that 2.8 moved pretty good. I wish i knew more about these cars so i could specify more about them. 2000LS1Z28 03-13-2006, 12:23 AM LOL if you had trouble keeping up with a 2.8 liter V6 camaro it is time to sell your GS-R, cause those cars are dog slow. I'm sure he had some sort of swap though. It's either that or a tuning issue. ZackKVtec 03-13-2006, 12:30 AM haha, i agree. but, im pretty sure it was a swap, most likely a cammed 305 from the sound of it. Also, i wasnt behind the one bagged "2.8 FI" i was behind another one, i didn't notice any badging, just 2 strait pipes coming from underneath the bumper. http://www.ourmedia.org/node/5740 thats with stock exhaust and a constant 6 degree timing retard, i'll have i/h/e and BTC vid up by the end of the week VR43000GT 03-13-2006, 05:14 PM LOL if you had trouble keeping up with a 2.8 liter V6 camaro it is time to sell your GS-R, cause those cars are dog slow. Ha, true, I saw a 2.8 Camaro get beat by an 89' corolla. camaromaniac 03-13-2006, 08:34 PM were they third gens like mine? and what is your 1/4 mile? -The Stig- 03-13-2006, 10:24 PM were they third gens like mine? and what is your 1/4 mile? Please don't try to start something. TerminalVelocity 03-13-2006, 10:31 PM GOOD KILL! I hate when people do that too...but I love beating them that much more then! rice(er) 03-14-2006, 01:46 AM don't follow someone's ass real close just b/c they're being a prick ya, show them you're not as low level as them and be humble, its the way to be bro and.....nice gsr, i've always loved the ITR and GSR, but i think the RS and GS guys make the integra look bad (i think i've said this before) anyways, shouldn't the camaro guys hear your SC whine? or does a SC only whine whilst the car is in motion? and nice vid 2000LS1Z28 03-14-2006, 02:59 AM Ha, true, I saw a 2.8 Camaro get beat by an 89' corolla. Dang, I knew they were slow, but not that slow  ZackKVtec 03-14-2006, 11:06 AM were they third gens like mine? and what is your 1/4 mile? I'm almost positive they were both third gens, they both had appearance work done to them so they looked a little different. My quarter mile before i sc'ed was 15.2 @ 93. When i was in that state i actually had a friend with a 305 firebird, with some slight mods done to it. This is it's cardomain http://www.cardomain.com/ride/440171 if you're interested. We raced three times, and i pulled about half a car each time.
