93 caprice lo5 tbi
new egr
new tbi to manifold gasket
new fuel pump
new fuel filter
new air filter
new injectors
new IAC motar
o2 sensor
new map sensor
throttle position sensor chks good
I'm geeting a code 44
once car is hot it stops hunting at idle
if cold it goes from 500 rpm to 1500rpm
I have checked all connections and now have a code 44. stall from a cold stop the engine will stumble on accelaration. also the car will some times surge when speeding up

Iac motor has been replaced

intake manifold bolts are tight

checked for vac leaks - none found
new map sensor installed
if car is ran cold without the o2 sensor hooked up there is no change
car runs in cloosed loop with o2 once rngine warms up
intake temp sensor is new
coolant sensor is new
any thing will help

I know you've replaced the fuel pump (and hopefully the filter), but did you test the fuel pressure? Your symptoms are typical of low pressure on a TBI220. The regulator (on the rear of the TB) is suspect.

I replaced the fuel pressure regulator also, I don;t have a guage to check pressure but everything but the fuel lines and tank itself has been . could my timing at the distributor/ HEI cause the problem?
