Well, I've been wanting a beater car for awhile, one I can offroad with, shopping cart golf etc... My friend has this beyond shitty truck, the '77 SR5 longbed. I know nothing about it, I couldnt find any info. Its engine is a 20R, it has 303,000 miles on it, interior is absoloute shit, something youd find in a junkyard, body damage, paint damage etc, seat is broken, so you lean to the left when driving, its horrible.... But I like it. Its a 5 speed manual, I test drove it, and it ran fine. Can anyone tell me ANY information on it, performance wise? How much I should pay for it if they dont take my trade (a 95 corolla that needs engine replacement)? How much longer do you think the 303,000 mile engine will last? And also, can it handle going through mud, off roading, and how deep water? Thanks

The 20R is pretty indestructable. They run great when new and will run OK forever. 5 spd would be kinda of unusual, 4 spd was way more common then.

As for wheeling, well it is only 2WD so there are limits.

As you describe it it's worth next to nothing, unless it passes inspection.
