I hit a deer with my 99 Jimmy, and busted the right (passenger) headlight and part of the grille. I've got my headlight and grille ordered, but there's a plastic wind guard type thing beside the headlight that's broken off. I need to know what that's called. Any help would be appreciated.

after you remove the grille, is it kind of curved to help suck air in to the a/c core? and there is one on both sides curved to match kinda like the sides of a scoop? is it very important that you have this?, as if you want, and if it is what i think, it's not 100% absofreekinglutely needed. it should show up on genuine gm parts, restoration, body parts and trim. sometimes it is on that site, but i have found them lacking once or twice. there will be a body parts break down , a drawing with all the parts numbered, and a list naming the part by the number. i have an '01, and i've had the grill and etc. off several times lately doing some upgrades and etc. sorry i can't name it for you right now.
good luck.
