I need to change out the passenger side front lower control arm on my 99 Dakota. Dealer wants to charge me $1500 labor included. I'm thinking about doing it myself. Has anyone ever done this type of work? On a scale of 1-10, how hard would this be?

Why do you need a complete control arm?
Since you are asking I would rate this as a 6.5.
Why not go to www.alldatadiy.com and buy a 1 year subscription for a very good online service manual for your specific truck..only $25 and you can see what the job entails and also see a ton of other useful info. This would be a cheap investment considering they want $1500.
