All better... Mr. Luos 03-03-2006, 09:44 PM
Sorry for the repeat thread...but I think it is worth it. Found the misfire. It was a HUGE problem. Pushrods = Too long. :banghead: Idle is set at 1150 RPM's. WAY too high. When I get a chance...I will drop it to about 1000 RPM's. http://home.comcast.net/~mrluos/thirdstart.wmv Whoops....I was hanging the valves using the pushrods on the right.... Bet that created a problem. http://home.comcast.net/~mrluos/Swap182.JPG 97cavalier 03-03-2006, 09:48 PM WOW!!! that thing sounds bad!! awsome, i can't waite to see more!! Lous, that is a beast beyond words. Your car rolled like two inches with that rev..... I need to change my shorts. Where can I do some reading on the LQ9? And can I get a ride? Mr. Luos 03-04-2006, 12:58 PM Where can I do some reading on the LQ9? And can I get a ride? This isn't your everyday LQ9. It is completely built. Forged rods, pistons, etc... The LQ9 is a larger bore iron blocked version of the LS1. Ride?? Sure. Anytime you are in Colorado. :evillol: FireFox05 03-04-2006, 03:28 PM Awesome. I'd still rather go LS7 myself. karll 03-04-2006, 03:45 PM where'd you buy you engine? and did you assemble it yourself, or was it a crate engine? Mr. Luos 03-04-2006, 03:48 PM Texas Speed and Performance. I didn't assemble the rotating assembly. I did put everything else together though. It came as a shortblock. balls_to_the_wall 03-04-2006, 04:23 PM Hmm, I'l be in colorado springs over the first weekend of april, I might have to make a detour.... hmmm. 1986Z28 03-04-2006, 04:53 PM Awesome.
