wipers stopped workin!!

i used my wipers the other day and they worked fine, now today i went to use and nothin!, can the motor just go like that? i checked the fuse under the dash its fine, is there any other circuits that could of went?

replace the fuse anyway, if that dosent work it could be

bad wire

in line fuse (dont think they used it....)

and yes, the motor can just quit

It could also be the relay leading to the motor that went out, or even the terminals in the switch.

anyone know were i would find the relay?? under the hood, under dash, just point me in the general direction:banghead:

The Intergrated Control Module that has the wiper relays in it is part of the Primary Junction Block that is located under the dash to the left of the steering column.

ok so this is the main fuse box or your sayin another one underneath the thedash near the main fuse box? cause its not the motor i took it out today and had a new one to try and it still does nothin, so... it must be a relay, now this relay does it control only the wipers? cause i am havin no other problem with the electronics of the car.

Yes, the ICM is the "fuse box" you refer to. The relay that could be bad only controls the wipers. The Multi-function Switch (wiper switch) in the steering column is the usual suspect. Go to your library and get the Mitchell Electrical Manual for your year car and photocopy the circuit and components you need to test. See my post in the Tech Help thread about where to buy the factory service and electrical manuals.

You could also try a new ground, by running a wire from the chassis to the outside of the motor itself. This worked in my Spirit a while back.

i tried lokkin at the fuse box agin under neath and all i did was like move some stuff and the wipers started workin again so i guess somethin was loose, but there workin now
