i have a 1994 4 runner has around 178k on it its always ran fine and stuff, went home one day and came out the next to go to work..started it up ran fine idles fine...after it warmed up a bit i go to put it into Reverse...stalls immediatly...so i start again...as always runs fine...slap it into reverse...stalls...so i try to put it into drive...stalls...every gear i put it in besides park and neutral it stalls.....

any clue?

i hear 4runners have a safty mechinism that shuts the truck down when something is wrong....
