93 Dakota Rebuilt Trans Problemgp376 02-26-2006, 02:06 PM i just bought a 93 dakota 4x4 with auto trans with o/d . when i bought the truck it just had the trans rebuilt immediately before i bought it ( i am the 1st 1 to drive it sense rebuild) . it seems to have a little trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd. it seems like it is either slipping between the 2 gears , or possible shifting out of 1st to early . it almost seems like it has to shift into 2nd twice . other than that it shifts fine and kicks down fine . any ideas what the problem could be ? i doubt i could take it back to the place that rebuilt it because i am not the original person that took it there .. My 98 3.9 automatic has 500,000 on the original powertrain. troy1 03-21-2006, 11:13 PM could be high clearance in the front band, Check the kickdown adjustment and make sure its setup right. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
