What do you think? Can a 5spd FW 91 Saturn SC2 pull it off?

any car can do rally. you just need to take care of problem areas, make it safe (roll cage, 4 point harnesses, seats, the works).

are you planning to try and actually do this and drive it? by the question, asking if it can be a rally car, i can tell you dont have the training needed. its no walk in the park, need to get training to be any good at it.

I was just asking for opinions I know the car can do it. No need for all that technicality. I am just curios as to what people thought of a Saturn in the Rally-X not pro...

No need for all that technicality.

no offence Fox, but if you ignore even the tinyest technicial aspect of a automoble, you won't even make it to the start line. you should see all the research i've done just for a basic engine rebuild, if i was going to take my engine racing, my research would have tripled.

anyway....i don't know anyone who rally races, but have seen a photo or two of some rally saturns. i have talked to a few who do autocross and drag racing, both with a good amount of success. in fact, a well known 91 SL2 does somewhere in the 11s in the quarter mile(but very little of the original 91 parts remain)

actually that car is the differentracing, www.differentracing.com (http://www.differentracing.com). i know the guys off the forums. the car has the saturn block, crank, cams, head gasket, valves, and flywheel. but you dont need to make the engine powerful for rally, just need to take care of the problem areas and maybe boost power up a bit, dont need to go crazy with it maybe upwards of 200whp. suspension is the biggest problem, other then safety.

i also know a guy on our forums running a sw in rally.
