SES light on steady. Advance auto tech checked w/computer. Said had a #2 misfire. Where is the # 2 located. Lost manual and trying to find. 2.4 engine. Was told to check plugs and wires first.

Number 2 should be the cylinder second from the belt end of the engine. If I were you I would change all the plugs and then the wires/boots. If the misfire does not go away then the problem may be with one of the injectors or a coil. Plugs and wires are the cheapest so try that first.

If there were a misfire detected by the engine management system, wouldn't the SES light be flashing, not on steady?
