Old NASCAR Aero-Warriors ToonBlip 02-23-2006, 11:04 AM I'm a fan of the old NASCAR race cars from the 60's and early 70's. This toons layout shows both of R. Petty's Aero racers. He switched to the Ford Talladaga in 69, and back to Plymouth (and the Superbird) for 1970. Threw in the Petty caricature just for practice. http://home.comcast.net/~cdrr3112/69-70AeroWarriorSet.jpg NewCarDrawing 02-23-2006, 02:31 PM too bad i don't know NASCAR, but i'm sure i would have liked this drawing if i had know anything about NASCAR Mshkttck 02-23-2006, 04:47 PM LA-CUSTOMS 02-23-2006, 06:22 PM thats cool i love these sort of drawings i always tryed to draw a mk1 golf like it but i could never get it wright, some one should do one that would be ace !!! :) grantrl78 02-23-2006, 06:45 PM cool work! back then nascar was cooler. i love that supa bird. Rob SWD 02-23-2006, 06:51 PM sweet toons! Nice job on the steelies on the Ford too. Blip 02-23-2006, 08:10 PM Thanks for the comments. Rob, I put way too much time into making the "simple" steel race wheels. Rob SWD 02-24-2006, 11:07 AM well they look good! So does your little Richard Petty dude Blip 02-24-2006, 02:43 PM Thanks again. I'm starting to get more interested in the caricature stuff. May start adding more to my CAR-toons. Had several requests for toons w/ owner caricatures, but refused them so far as that type of drawing is not yet a strong area of my artwork skills. Need much, much more practice. HighOctaneNOSUser 02-25-2006, 12:27 AM Charicatures take skill, I'll give it that. They're hard to do, to capture a face while leaving it simple, it's a fine, hehe, art. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
