My 2002 Nissan Altima was in a little car accident and both of the driver and passanger seat belts are locked? does anyone know how to unlock?

did the airbags deploy? the seatbelts have a system linked to the airbags and will lock up on impact. even if the airbags didnt deploy the seatbelts may. the only way to fix it is replace the seatbelt assemblies.

well the airbags did deploy. i guess my only choice is to replace the seatbelts assemblies.I just hope is not expensive. thanks for your help!

i just got a 02 altima from a salvage pool and have the same seat belt problem that they are locked but there has to be a way to unlock them does anyone know how

they wont unlock dude. there is a small explosive charge, just like the airbags, to lock them in place. they're toast.

the only thing to do because you can't unlock them is just to buy the seatbelts. I went to a nissan dealership and they run like $64.00 each.
