16 valve engine

I have a 93 geo tracker with the 8v engine. i spun a bearing in it. i have a 16v that someone gave to me. i was woundering if i put the 16v in the tracker would i have to change the computer? thanks in advance.

I would think that you would have to but i'm not sure different wiring harness?
