Shifter Needed

Hello, I own a 1994 Geo Tracker, THe spring on the shifer broke, (manual Tranny) THe spring cant be replaced, however I can replace the entire shifter, which is everything that comes out of the shifter box, on top of the transmissiong.

What I need, is someone that is parting out their tracker, or suzuki, and is willing to sell me the shifter, for a great price$$$.

If a spring is broke why can't you go to a hardware store and buy another one for a buck or less?

The spring is just an ordinary spring, it is more cylone shaped, and the spring cant be removed off the stick shift, without damaging the spring.

I thought about that myself.

Another thing, I found one at a junk yard, but they wanted 50 bucks for it, NOT WORTH IT. I will deal with the inconvienence of not being able to easily shift into reverse, and an extremely loose feeling shifter.

Wow you have struck my curiosity I'm going to tear my shifter apart when I finish re-upholstring my seats to see if I can't think up a way around it for you. Give me a day or two to post back. This is on the Transmission shifter and not the 2wd to 4wd right?

Thats right, It is on the actual shifter, right between the nuckle and the retainer.

i see 2 side springs, 1 reverse spring.
and 3 detent pins for the shift rails.

any spring can be replaced!:grinyes:
compression or streatch type?
diameter, and length.? all easy.
force is the hardest to match so guess.
