SWOPPER 02-20-2006, 06:38 AM Its A 1994 2 Litre 8 Valve Its Got A Scrapping Noise (sounds Like Nuts And Bolts In A Drum) Coming From The Torque Convertor Area. Car Still Drives Fine But When Going Round A Left Hand Corner Noise Disappears. Also Does Anyone Know If Its Possible To Change The Automatic Box To A Manual Without Changing Drive Shafts Or Engine. Can Anyone Also Help Me With The Amount Of Oil This Box Should Contain As I Cant Find Any Info From Renault Or The Haynes Manual. Thanks Swopper qprdude 02-22-2006, 02:33 PM Don't have a lot of knowlege of your car, but the noise sounds like a drive coupling on the way out. Turning to the opposite side would relieve strain and quieten the rattle I think. I had a Renault long ago , and the CV joint got more and more noisy. Have it checked out and changed soon to avoid more expense later. SWOPPER 02-24-2006, 08:58 AM Sorry I Dont Think You Understand It Does It When The Cars Not Moving And As Said Before Its Comming From The Converter. AutomotiveHelper.com, Copyright ©2013
