My 1984 Ram van church bus with a 318 will start and run fine for about 20 or 30 minutes. After that it starts to lose power and stall espesially up hills. If i shut it off for a few minutes it wil start fine and continue on for another few miles were then it will continue to sputter again. It seems like something is heating up and needs to cool down almost before it will run again.I have replaced...
fuel pump and filter
ingnition module
ignition coil
drained the fuel completely out and filled back up with new

Ive been working on this van forever, hopefully someone has some ideas.

Almost sounds like a vapor lock? Bad exhaust parts like cat or muffler?
Check the entire fuel line/s from the tank to the front for rust, pinholes, cracked or pinched rubber hoses. Could be a bad in-tank filter that is on the fuel gauge sender unit or the unit may be rusted out? Also check to make sure the exhaust is not running too close to the fuel line.
Has the carb ever been rebuilt?

We have found out that there is very little fuel reaching the carb so you are probobly right.I'm going to check that this weekend
