Just make sure you're following the factory's recommended 'break-in' procedure. SteveZ 02-26-2006, 07:48 PM Anybody experience a strong clutch-like smell after driving? Even if the car is sitting idling, the smell gets strong. 4100 miles Yep. Both my 350 (gone) and the G sometimes have smell of hot clutch (pretty distinctive smell unlike break-in smells) once and awhile. First time I smelled it was after pushing the 350Z hard and admittedly doing some pretty hard clutch drops at high revs. The clutch on these cars takes a lot of torque right off idle, just make sure you're clean with your clutch use, if you're driving silky smooth like an automatic, you may be spending too much time with the clutch partly engaged. It's a fine line... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
