outline - 4 hours This is a drawing i started 2 days ago and i have only spent 4 hrs on it so far. i have left all my good pencils at school over the holidays so i cant work on it for a bit.

criticism/suggestions please!

Just upload it on Imageshack (or any other webspace you may have) and post it as an image using the image tags.

Ah there it is. Why is your paper all crumpled? I think you should start it over (just trace what you drew) on a nice new piece of paper. Proportions look good so far though :)

the paper is crumpled as my mum thought it was 'just paper' and put things on it , i might iron it , it has worked in the past but if not i will trace as u say.

im a complete and utter amatuer when it comes yto shading , i always endup spendin hours on the drawing and give up bcause i cant shade i have made a copy and am goin to practice. i will send pic of my practice when i get my pencils back from school.

thats well cleaver !! you should go over it with a fine liner then it would look the bollox !!! very good job dude you got skillz !! :)

looks nice, but i suggest you trace the lines with a fine liner and then put another, heavier sheet of paper on top of it. hold it against the window and trace your original drawing. a clean sheet of paper with more grain makes the shading a lot easier!

i will most probably do as u say N.C.D because it does look scruffy.

Nice job, but I agree to retrace it. Also, shading would make the idea stand out much better. Nice start.

Prisma pencils (Karismacolor in the UK) aren't available anymore in Europe. You might want to try Polychromos or, if available in the UK, Bruynzeel Design. These two will set you back €50 for a set of 46. If you have more money to spend, try Van Gogh pencils (€106 for a set of 60 pencils).

update - 6 hours - this is a rough copy of my colouring attempt. i know theres loads wrong with it but this is my 1st ever attempt at colouring. i will post more updates soon. cheers!

not bad for a 1st attempt. certainly looks better than anything i ever made, but try not to press too hard.

update - 8 hours more reflections, tyres ( i know theyre not right but ill fix them), started the other car. Im still pretty pleased with it because its my 1st colour attempt. More updates soon.

i am using AQUAtone and Supracolor pencils. i did not know what ones to buy as i have never coloured before. Theyre not the right ones to use but.......

i guess aquatone are water color pencils? those are always good, because they're quite soft. can't wait to see some more!
