-23 C in lovely montreal today, i go to start my car, and everything goes on, but when i try to start it i get a click, or more like a pop and everything dies.

i pop the hood to see whats up, play with the terminal wires a bit and the lights come on, and everything works. so i go to start it again, and the same thing, a pop and everything goes dead. have to play with the wires a bit to get power going through again.

battery has been tested and has a full charge.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

sounds like your terminals are loose, might not seem like it but check again, clean them up good and tighten them to where you cant turn them or pull them off

tip: good idea to put a small amount of grease on the terminals to prevent any corossion

yes this has happened to me too. I just took a little wire brush to the inside of the terminals. (mine were obvioulsy corroded). Lubed them up a little (with coke lol) and put them back on. prob solved.

there might be problems with the wires too. make sure there aren't any cuts or anything in them.
