:screwy: I don't understand this one, the oil leaks only first start of the day. I can let it warm up and there will be a pretty good spot on the ground, but just the first time I run the car. Everytime after that through out the day, no leak??? Any suggestions??? Thanks!

Does the car have the factory installed towing package? If so, your oil cooler hoses my have small cracks allow the oil to be forced out. After the oil warms up, the hoses swell slightly and the oil stops leaking. I was losing both oil and trans fluid and had all of the hoses replaced and this solved my probleml. It was an expensive repair so adding oil once in a while may be the best solution.

Thanks for the input, I'm not to familiar with the car. We've owned it for about 5 months now and didn't know ith had a oil cooler. I crawled under and watch for the leak, and it is coming from the unit that the filter mounts to.

If not from the filter, then it must be the gasket where the filter outlet housing meets the engine.
