I'm picking it up either today or tomorrow morning. The total bill turned out to be about 250 + change.

-Compression test.
-Resurfaced.
-Replaced exhaust valve.
-Five angle valve job.
-Head gasket set purchased along with the services too.

Tomorrow or saturday the head thats on my car now will be ready to pull also :licka: . I finally managed to get the camshaft bolt off (i don't have an impact wrench or anything, i managed to lock a wrench on the crank bolt, and used a 3 foot pipe as an extension on the camshafts socket wrench :screwy: ). Got all the headbolts out too. Only reason its not out is i think theres a coolant line or two on the underside of the intake manifold that i haven't disconnected. That and i haven't removed those 3-4 vaccuum lines connected to those hard pipes....I'll probably have to color code those cuz i'm hose retarded sometimes...:uhoh: Somebody said i can pick up a vacuum hose diagram at the nissan dealer? Do they charge for it or is it just something they'll photocopy for me?

Talk to you guys later.

they can just print it out for you. btw nice price on the head rebuild. cost me almost that much and i got a stock angle valve job, although i had to replace all 4 exhaust valves and springs...that was probably the diff

oh and mark the heater hoses because the diagram for that isnt as complete or easy to read as the vacuum diagram.
i always use a screwdriver to wedge and hold the cam while i use a ratchet on the cam gear, works ok too.
