looking for the OBD2 code list, anybody have this in .pdf format or something ???

purchased a code reader, 2 codes listed, PO171 and PO446, have cleared the codes, looking to duplicate the fault code for verifacation, then go from there.
i notice that the code list from the previous reply does'nt match what my reader is telling me? any help there?

You need to go to the generic code listings P0171 is bank 1 lean. P0446 is cannister purge malfunction.

Yes! i do have the generic code list that came with the code reader, the canister purge malfunction seems to be the primary concern at the moment, the others an old code that apparently was'nt cleared when last worked on.
how do you fix the 1st problem? is it a R&R item? or something that just needs to be serviced? and where is that critter located?

Need year and engine size.

1997, 5.4 triton engine, 141k on it, other then the pesky coil issue,( blown 3 in 18 months) been pretty good to me

From the diagram in the manual it is located on the drivers side rear, close to the tire moumted on the frame. It will have hoses going to it and an electrical connection. Look for any blockages or kinks in the lines. The connector will be around the F7 area.

cleared the codes, waiting to duplicate the fault, none as yet, seems to be an intermittant fault, possably due to cold weather?
