I have a 97 s-10 (4.3, 4WD, 5spd). When the clutch is released, there is a rattling/vibrating noise. It goes away when I press the clutch. Input shaft bearing? Something else?

its probably either the gears in the tranny rattling back and forth (if it happens in neutral) or the TO bearing rattling around on the fork. if it doesnt shift weird, make screechin/grinding/etc noises i wouldnt worry about it. have you replaced your clutch yet? when you do grab the input shaft and wiggle it around. it shouldnt move.
