Help with Id-ing year of T-bird

I just recently sold my 74 Torino and I'm looking for my next project car.

At one time I did some restoration on a girl friends car - the work was done around 1978 or so.

It was a 19?? Thunderbird 2 door - I remember the font end looked like the 70 or 71. The feature I'm looking for is what was called at the time "cockpit" type interior. The main attribute was the set of idiot lights that were above the windshield/the rearview mirror. So that when you looked up at the mirror the lights were above.

Can any one help me with the year?

Here is it.
The first use of an overhead console was in 1966 Town-series cars (Town Landau w/vinyl roof, Town Hardtop w/out). These cars had a blind rear quarter piller, giving rise to the nickname "3-window" due to lack of the small quarter window behind the door. The console ran the length of the roof, bisecting the headliner. Some have said it had a cockpit-like interior because of the instruments and pods on the dash. 1967 had a full-length roof console as well, but from '68-'71 a shortened version was used that extended about as far back as the sun visors. These had indicator lights for door ajar, low fuel, seat belts and the warning/hazard flasher.
