I was driving on the west side hwy yesterday in snow and my tires were spinning a lot and the CHECK light went on and then the D4 light blinks. My tranny shifts smooth and at the same RPM's as before.
Today after driving more than 20 miles my speedo went to 0 and shows the speed only when I let go of the gas.
I asked a mechanic and he said I might of burned out my sensor, and the computer scan costs 40 bux.
I'm thinking of going to autozone and pulling codes first, I have the haynes manual but I'm not really sure what to do.

Thanks for any help.

autozone wont pull your codes. You have a 95, they only do 96+. Read the FAQ. It is probably your vehicle speed sensor. It can be found used for $50 and only takes a few mins to replace. Everything is covered in the FAQ. Check it out.

95 V6 would be able to pull codes like a 96 4 cylinder. still has the same OBD II plug.

If you have less than 150k miles on it take it to the dealer. Its still covered under the Emissions warrenty. Anything that turns the CEL on is coverd also so you won't have to pay a dime.

P.S. i think you need to update your FAQ section.

Sorry, I never owned a 95 so I was not aware. Would the same be true for a 94 as well? As I believe the hybrid ECUs were available in both years. I don't have a Honda, I'm only in here to help where I can. Thanks for the correction.

As far as updating the FAQ. What exactly were you thinking? I'll be more than happy to add/correct where and when I can. PM me if the list is long, so we don't hijack the thread.

Oh no i was just commenting because the FAQ says 96 abd up but i guess it should mention 95 V6's too.

Im not 100% on the 94 though. Did tthey even make a 94 V6?

Nope. So wait, this only works on the 95 V6s, and not all 95 accords?

No autozone or anyone can pul codes with a scanner on all 96's, and 95 V6's

I think 94-95 4clyinders require you to flash out the codes.

oops sorry guys, the car fixed itself a long time ago. I think it was just going nuts cause of massive wheel spinnage.
Only Hondas can fix themselves heh :)
