well my friend has a 95 240, and she said that her check engine light just came on... I have a honda and I know that I can do a CEL search on mine. well can that be done like that on her 240? I looked for something about this, and I didn't see anything. I hope I'm not annoying anyone. y'all prolly answer this all the time.

I think on the service plug you have two wires that you need to short out and when you put in the key you'll get different types of flashes from the CEL... for a list of the codes you'll have to find those somewhere... either on the net or the dealer...

Get a fsm for the car

what is a fsm? also where is the service plug? is it on the inside? near the ECU like a honda? or is the ecu under the hood? I do not know a lot about nissans by the way. and I do not have the car to look at either I have to explain to my friend (a girl) over the phone about it. so she's probably just screwed and will have to take it somewhere. lol

its the factory service manual and some people here know links where you can get it as a pdf for free...
