1996 Gr Voyager, I was backing out of my drive way and applyed the brakes .The pedal went to the floor, A sound from undernieth like pressure was being released. I looked under, no leakes of fluided,if you pump the pedal it may hold or may not hold, check vaccum to booaster,ok any ideas. Thankyou:banghead: :banghead:

Bad master cylinder or a bad rear wheel cylinder. It can leak fluid and it would not be seen. Check both as soon as possible and don't drive the car. Also check for a vacuum leak at the booster and the intake manifold. Make sure the vehicle is running when you test for a vacuum leak.

Since there is no air in the system the problem has to be with vacuum. There has to be a leak somewhere. It could be in the vacuum booster itself as it can be leaking from an area that is inaccessable without removing it.

The sound of pressure being released is in the area of the ABS system under the van and you only hear it when pressing on the brake. If you pump the brake pedal many times you get a slight brake pedal and no noise under the van of the ABS system:banghead:

The problem was corrected, I removed the left rear brake drum, noticed the wheel cylinder was leaking and replaced both rear wheel cylinders and brakes. The sound did not return.
