I just bought an 86 Camero and took it to get the timing set, however, the specification sticker is missing. Can anyone give me the specs so that I can get the timing set correctly? Please hurry...

Don't have the exact spec on hand (4 or 6* I think) for your V6 CamAro. V8 are 0*.

You can get it from autozone on line or call em.

Id also recommend replacing the timing chain and tensioner/guide.
You can get the parts aftermarket for like $50 and since there is so much extra space infront or your engine, you can do the work your self during a weekend. As I have learned, having that extra space under the hood makes it alot easier to do work...would probably cost like $300 to have the chain and guide replace at a shop.(just so you know)
Doing this will make your engine keep better timing, run more smoothly, save gas, and even give it some of its old power back...and those of us with the 2.8 V6 need all the power we can get.
You should buy a timing light and learn to set the timing yourself...saves some money in the long run.

You know it just hit me, you're taking it to a shop? And this shop dosen't have Mitchell on Demand or Alldata? Good bet they wouldn't have a ASE recognition plaque either, I'd find a new shop.
