hey Puff,

I'm no electronics expert, more of a nuts-n-bolts kinda guy, but it seems to me that since there's no output from the coil (thus no spark to the plugs) you should have the coil itself checked and/or replaced. It's probably the most logical and cheapest place to start ... ?

code 54 is no cam signal at the pcm; this means no cam shaft sensor reading is recieved, needs new cam sensor.

Hi there i'm no car repair man, i just had the same thing happen to me
and i thought too, that the Iginition Coil was the problem thus no sparks.
Well after a week and pay check i call a friend and he mention to check
3 places A.-IGN Coil, B.-Timing Belt, and C-Distributor cap.

Answer was B. Timing belt
Man you should have seen the belt it look like someone set
rubber on a real thin thread of hot iron.
Which we fine out later the burnt smell was the rubber.

The cool thing is i have the same buddy who is going to repair the Van for
$375 with parts i supply and to me thats not bad at all.

Good luck!
