I have a 2000 Sebring Conv. Recently it has been making a clicking sound when I open the door. Does anyone have an idea what this means. I don't want to just let it go but also don't want given any bs when I take it to the dealer.
many thanks

Ok...did you look at the front quater panels? The door may be hitting then going behind the panel. That is what might be causing the clicking noise.

Here is a pic...I hope you can correct the problem with your car.

it is probably what they call the door checks. It is a common problem with these cars. It really isn't much of a problem unless they completly brake off. but it is annoying. Mine have been broken for 3 years already.

Mine does the same thing every year or two. It is because the convertable doesn't support the doors as well as a hard top, and the door droops enough to make intermittent contact with the door sensors. It takes 10 minutes to tighten it up while holding the door in place.
