Engine Turns, Immobiliser Seems Fine - Still won't start

I have an M-reg Laguna 2.0 16V - I can open the door with the IR, Immobiliser seems to be fine as the yellow 'plug warming' light flashes a couple of times then goes out. I also have a spark from the plugs when the engine is turned over.

I read somewhere that the immobiliser may still be to blame as it also shuts off the fuel but I'm not sure how to check if fuel is getting through to the engine.

I've tried all the tips from various forums and threads I can find such as:

Drying the overhead circuit board
Keys in the ignition when d/c'ing & re-conn battery
Leaving battery d/c'ed overnight
Pulling the white sensor plug from the air inlet
Kneeling before the bonnet and praying

Still no joy...

Is there anyone out there with a clue to what else I can check before I have to bite the bullet and pay the huge price tag for a Renault Dealer to even look at the car?

I'm gradually going bald with pulling my hair out on this one...

Had roughly the same problems. Found the fault to be a temperature sensor on the left hand side of the cylinder head. This sends a signal to the ECU to richen the fuel mixture almost like an auto choke.
