Look for a wire hanging loose from the wiring harness. There is only one wire going to the lighter since it uses the metal shell to provide ground. Most people who dis-able the lighter just pull the wire off and let it hang. Not sure what color the wire would be but a call to your local jeep dealer service man or parts guy could tell you.
