Replaced Heater Core... now wipers, headlight, heater not working

Hey guys. I have a 95 Tbird with the V8 option. Yesterday, a buddy of mine replaced the heater core on my car. All the problems I had related to the heater core are now gone (foggy windows, coolant leaking on pass floor)... but now a few things have happened that we cant figure out.

1. Headlights dont come on at all... the parking / turn / brake lights do, but not the headlights.
2. Windshield wipers dont work at all.
3. Heater does not function... the outside temp button works fine, but when you turn on the heater (or a/c for that matter) no temp is displayed and it doesnt kick on.

I watched him do this entire process and everything seemed to be put back in exactly how it was taken out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I need to drive today and its raining out!

1. With the headlight switch turned to the headlight position are all the other external lights (tail, marker) working?
2. Check the Multi-Function Switch connector. While you have your head stuck up under the dash you should check all connectors to be sure they are connected tightly together including the ones going to the heater control.
3. See last part of 2. You may have to remove the heater controls to check the connectors on the back.
Did he disconnect the battery before ripping into your dash? If not you could have a blown fuse.

Check all connections and fuses. Check the main wiring connections if all fuses are ok. Sounds like you got something disconnected.

I have had this problem myself, you get everything back together and realize something isn't working. You wind up spending more time than the original repair.

1. Yes, all other external lights are working, just not the headlights.
2. I will check the multi-function switch connector and the other connectors tonight and let you know what I find out.
3. Yes, he did disconnect the battery before pulling the dash. I checked all the fuses yesterday and none seem to be blown.

Thanks for the help, I'll keep you posted.

Haha, no kidding. At least it saves money though, right? :grinyes:
I'll check out every connector I can find, its got to be something there... hopefully I dont have to take the entire dash out again.
