I easily caught up to him, then left him. I got stuck behind a dump truck gettin on the freeway, and he goes around me, like he was victorious. It was sad how slow he was!

Yeh i hear that the WRX really blows us off the line and through the quarter mile, but after that we can hang with them like on a highway for example.

I'm looking for a chance to run with one on a highway, but I'm pretty scared to take one off the line.

u raced a crown victoria?!? i wouldn't even wanna race that car if i saw that right next to me and wanting to race....here in so cali, they use most crown victoria's as cop cars, and they all have superchargers in them....maybe u raced a used cop car that was refurbished....i wouldn't doubt that u lost by 4 or 5 car lengths

crown vic's are cop cars for the most part. but he also said a 1986.....they all have new ones now. but he might have raced a refurbished one. he definitely would've been killed. around here we of course have the crown vic cops.....but now florida highway patrolman and some street cops are getting souped up camaro z28's......now those are fast.

I think these guys might be right with the victoria story. It's the only logical explanation.

And White SE-R Spec-V impressive list. The Supra must have been close. Was the Hyundai Tiburon a new one?

u gotta good chance with the new tiburon, but with a non-turbo supra u won't lose by much, but with the supra TT, ur ass is burnt...lol

is it really possible to beat a stang ? AND camero ??? cuz if it is the v8 version i couldnt see any possible way that you could beat one i mean those mofos put out at least 250 + hp ! and well ive read the reviews about the sentra spec v putting out 140 something hp at the wheels ????
either the driver was incredibly stupid , or it was the v6 version of hte stang or camero ???

It sounds like alot right? When we were messing around on the highway going back to my house. He was waiting for me as we were going back on the road. So when I caught up to him, he down shifted and I just stepped on the gas cause I was in 3rd at a high enough RPM. Anyway I pulled on him the whole time. That was about maybe three months ago, who knows maybe he finally got that damn tuned right. Peace out and keep racing.:alien:

as far as the beating a v8 stang or camaro question. i don't think we could win consitently.....but i do think it would be a very close race. and if the guy didn't know how to drive well, then we'd probably win. but pro driver against pro driver the v8 would win. the v6 models are slow as balls. i've driven my friends v6 stang and its not as slow as a civic, but it doesn't pull your head back like a spec v. those cars are just so stinkin huge they need a v8 to get goin fast. so i'd definitely say race a v6 when ever you can, you'll definitely win.

Well I had an impressive list going but today I LOST! I was leaving the NOPI Nationals held in Palmdale (LACR) and this damn Civic just takes off and I try to catch up but no can do. Considering I had 4 people in my car including me. I weigh about 230lbs in the passenger seat was my friend which weighs like over 360lbs and in the backseat my other 2 friends, the guy is like 190lbs and the girl is like 125lbs and I had the A/C on cause it was hotter than HELL. Well he was just lucky I wasn't alone. But I guess he deserves some respect. Always a first for everything I just hope it doesn't become a habbit. Losing SUCKS! Good luck everyone else.

guys.....add an rsx type s to my list. holy crap i couldn't believe it. he was tailing me when i was on my way to my friends house and then when we got open road we both took off. he started pulling a little and then i just took off and he couldn't pull no longer. we hit about 110. i was like HELL YEAHHHHHHH. ok, i gotta go to work, just thought i'd share.

Jedi_sentra_spec-v I also totally agree with you too, I think the front is disgusting. See everyone me and Jedi_sentra_spec-v are good pals and the other night when we were cruising in our spec v's we saw an awsome looking wrx with gold wheels and we checked out the front and it ruined the hole car. We were happy to be spec v owners, Subaru made a big mistake with the front end of that car.

And SER Speedalot isn't that awsome. No one thinks we could run with a rsx type-s. It's a great feeling to be underestimated and then win haha.

damn man, i'm so proud of our car, we can beat a rsx-s and it costs us about 4-5k less to have a faster car, hehe :hehe:

Yeh the rsx type-s is definitly my favorite kill, just because people make suck a big deal over that car and compare it to a wrx. I love racing them.

i agree with ya zane on that. that was definitely my favorite kill. civics are fun to beat, but its such a sure thing that its not very exciting. but when you show a type s how its done, thats fun. the one i raced was dropped on some aftermarket wheels. haha, looked tight, but it couldn't beat my 4 door family car. lol

It was a fun night for me (but no rsx's haha). I got 2 kills and a pussy. Beat a riced out bmw that was prolly my fav. Then a mustang TOTALLY pussed out I wanted to kill it. And last on the way home took down that faster focus the svt. It was a fun night haha.

Ahhhh man I'm so jealous:( . I have been wanting to run one of those ever since I heard that they put them in the same category as our cars, the 1.8t golf, and the new si. babyskyline.....good luck on installing that springs man, it's sooo plain n simple, it only took an hour and a half to 2 hrs to finish, waaaaaaay easier than installing springs on a honda/acura, and also good choice on springs, u'll notice it's gonna be a lil rougher than stock but not much

Let me add a Toyota Tundra w/a full complement of TRD equipment! On my way to work this morn we were side by side at the stop light, and he was revving up. Because there was another red light coming up, I let him go. At the next light, he was revving up again, (those v-8's sound nice!) so I slid it into first, and waited for the green.

It was not even funny! I had him by 2 car lengths before I shifted into 3rd! It was a 50 mph zone, so when I got to 60, I just let off the gas, I also had to turn soon.
It felt nice!!! What a good way to start the day!

I really don't understand how they are compared so close in performance in road and track, and beat him bad right off the start (best launch i ever had little spin then perfect). Right off the start i took him had hiim by alot the hole time.Maybe the guy sucked ass at driving the bmw was also real fun. I thought it would be closer.

Man you guys are lucky. The only time I get to race is usually on weekends and that doesn't even happen that much. Sometimes I even try and mess with people to start something, but nothing. Hey wassup Zane11 and Muphasta. I'm in the Air Force and I'm stationed in Barksdale Air Force Base in Lousiana, been in now a little over 4 years. It's not bad here but the area sucks. I will admitt, the import scene is growing though, because I mean I am in muscle car heaven here. But the car club I'm with www.kutsujuracing.com is spreading like crazy. We have like over 25 members and we have only been a club for like 6 months. We have WRX'S, IntegraTypeR's, other Teg's, Civics from SI's to turbocharged Ex's, now SpecV's. I'm trying to get this one guy on base with a Red SpecV to join as well. Another thing that makes this place alright is the fact that Dallas is only like 2 and half hours away, Houston a little over 3 hours. I love how my car sounds w/ the intake. Just the other day I was messing with this little ford Focus (I know I'm a bully) but he started it. Anyway when I drove by my friends shop he asked me if I had an exhaust. I love the sound of it, especially going through a tunnel. It's got like a powerful growl. When I first got it I felt a difference in Horsepower and Torque. I need to go and Dyno my car again. peace:alien:

If I drive home I'll deffinately look you up. If were you I would go with AEM, only because the sound itself is intimidating. Injen is good as well, I just don't know anyone who has one. Either one you choose, I'm sure.....no I'm positive you'll be happy with the sound and performance.

He ran his best time against the WRX, he ran a 14.2, the next quickest is that Black GST Eclipse. He just upped his boost to I think 19 and can hang right with the Erik, the TypeR. I'm like the 3rd or 4th in line. Go back to the site and Look at all the mods that TypeR has. I'm telling you wait and see once all that kind stuff is made for our cars, we'll be doing the same thing, I know it.

i raced a civic with a v-tec on a somewhat quiet stretch of road. after we both laid off the pedal he turned around and then i did. the road was narrow enough that i had to do a 3 point turn, (had to back up to finish the turn around). Right as i started to grab gears toward our starting line again a car came around the corner in my rear view mirror, about 20 yards behind me. I flew back to the starting line and flipped a u-turn again before getting out to talk to some friends about the race, the car that had been behind me pulled up and it was a cop. She had followed for about a mile and was a good 15 seconds behind, no joke. She got out of he car with all the lights on and was yelling at me. "How fast were you going!!! I had it floored when you took off and couldn't even catch up!!" I played stupid and claimed she had mixed me up with someone else... she hadn't even had time to get me on radar. Anyway, she saw the argument going nowhere and threatened to give me a ticket for 2 illeagal u-turns cause of the way i had turned around at the intersection, she ended up letting me off, but i thought it was damn funny, cop didn't stand a chance against the spec. LOL

this is embarrassing to say but i have to let it out....... as i was commin home from my homegrl's apmt, i saw a silver rsx and was goin pretty fast, so i caught up to it so i could have an rsx-s kill, we started running at 80mph and a shift it down to 4th, i was pulling away from him pretty good, shift to 5th gear and still pulling away, then all of a sudden he boosts with ease and cut in front of me, i was all WTF?!? we exited the fwy and we stopped at a red.....as it turned green we both punched it and i came out in front...again i was pulling away with slowly then he suddenly gains up waves "bye" and drives off, i had to turn to get in my neigborhood....i was sooo f*ckin pissed, i didn't sleep that well last night

Now I'm estimating that my car's horsepower is 150-152, torque..about 160. The average gains with the intake was 6-9 horsepower, 4-7 lbs torque. Well he definitly had somthin done to his car NO WAY it was stock. Cause you even pulled away from him and till 5th gear, then at the light again you pulled away. He can't pass you with a sudden brust like that my guess would be NOS.

yeah man the escalade though it weighs i dunno a ton and a half, 2 tons? DOES have 345 horsepower and some sickening amount of torque. that rsx was not a type-s but i would have still taken one. boy my buddy was pissed over the bought he and i had with his 300ZX! he's like "i wanna re-match! i had my A.C. going" wah wah wah losers can be so sorry sometimes ha ha ha! suckaaaaaa:flipa:

i think beating a 300zx non-turbo should be expecting......yea it's 222 hp 198 tq, but it weighs a lot, it weighs more than a mustang, it's a lil over 3400 lbs...turbo is 300 hp 283 tq, weighing in at 3500lbs

yeah, i know but i like to brag to him now that my "sentra" beat his "man's car" as he likes to call it. he also had an exhaust on the thing which does, however, make his sound a HELL of a lot meaner than mine. oh well. so does anyone agree that honda made a big mistake mating a civic with what looks to be a minivan? the new SI is the fugliest thing i have ever seen. sorta of an oddysey/civic thing. oh well. and is it true that dyno results say that the spec-v is only putting down 130-140 horsepower? i hope not...it sure doesn't feel like that to me when i chirp the wheels in third gear.

Good job on the 300z, I never ran one yet hopefully I'll beat him. Oh yeah the dyno results are indeed true. I personally dynoed mine a little while ago. Max horsepower and torque was...horsepower, 144 max torque..155 to the wheels. I liked your reply when you were talking about the your friends 300zx. yeah man... I hate Cavaliers... there are tons of them where I live.. I think they are worse than the Honda ricers. At least a few of the Hondas are fast.

Only 1 cool cavalier I have seen. It was silver, with silver tinted tails, and the coolest gauge cluster I have ever seen... it was like neon greenish yellow... I can't really explain it.. but it was sweet.

Geez... if you are going to throw money into a car, at least start with something decent... I hate Saturns and Cavaliers. Neons are decent sometimes, but the other two suck.

Yeh cav's shouldn't even be produced. And i see so many saturns i don't even waste my gas on them. But maybe ill beat one just to put it on my kill list haha.

Hey Zane11, don't do it. An Eagle Talon TSI are supposed to be running like low or mid 14's. I knew this guy here who had one. When I used to have my turbocharged Jetta we were leaving the park back to the highway and he was behind me and then all of a sudden he flew by me. Just to let you know, they are quick. But then again it's all about the Driver.

I had prolly my second best kill tonight. (right next to the rsx type-s)

I was on my way home just taking a nice cruise with 3 people in my car and a passing zone came up, and a v6 eclipse came rippin by. I didn't no what was benihd me till it passed so i downshifted and got beside him and we both gunned it i stated pulling away then it merged into one lane and he was on my ass bad. Then went back to the 2 lanes and we both took off i pulled away again. Then a red light came up so i started slowing down for it and stopped, as soon as i stopped it turned red (he already had a rolling start because he was behind and didn't totally stop). So i gave it everything i had and we were even i went to second started pulling 3rd and had like 2 car lengths and just kept gaing he ate my dust haha. So now don't be scared of the v6 eclipse haha.

It was awsome.

Holy ishhh..I actually got a race last night. Yeaahhhhhh, I ran two cars at once. I ran a focus and an souped SI. Now check this out, the Focus has about $4000 into it, he has a GUDE racing package, exhaust, cams, intake, you name it. The SI has all the bolt ons, pullies.....who knows what else. So just go ahead and add that on the kill list. FINALLY. Not to mention I had a terrible start. Just to let everyone know, who still thinks that are cars, stock are only running like 15.7, I saw this car personally run 15.2 at the track. I was about half a car lenght ahead of him, I'm not gonna lie he was right there with me.:alien:

i think babyskyline ran against a 2000 si and a zx3 because they shouldn't have that many parts for a new car, if they do, it ain't fair, cuz we barely get sh*t....as for running against a 300zx non-turbo, it'll be a close race, that's a driver's race, and i dunno about porshes, but i thought all porshes are fast and should be faster than our car

i got 1 win and 1 loss last nite..i beat a Z28 convertable..the kid looked like such a fruit i just had to toast him...i lost to my friends corvette LT1..we were both even untill 3rd gear then he slowly pulled away..flew buy 3 cops doing about 100 :smoker: after the race he was likedamn your car is fast..next i wanna race this kid that has a totally modded out civic...he races around town all day so i feel like it is time to shut him up..let every1 know what happens tommorrow

Wow what an awsome night it was. There was an older vette a porsche 944 a 300zx a viper and me. The vetter couldn't hang around long so he left early, had to go somwhere. So when we all left the order we left in was porsche 944 first, 300zx second, spec v third, and the viper pulled out last. As soon as we got to a two lane highway I pulled out to the left lane downshifted and caught up to the 300zx i was in 3rd gear revin at about 4.5 doing bout 60mph. He looked over and we both punched it, i couldn't believe it i pulled away pretty good (I have a real bad pic of me pulling away, girlfriend took the pic and didn't no that when you pushed the button it didn't take right away so the pic is bad but you could see where the front of his car is when im pulling away i'll post it if you want). So after i passed the 300zx the viper ripped right by no problem he was on my ass bad. Then stopped at a red light with me(spec v) and the 944 porsche side by side, viper was behind me and the 300zx behind the 944. Light turns green and I take off, but the 944 didn't so i waited for him and he looked over and smiled and i was in 2nd gear revin at 4.5 doin 40mph and both punched it and i pulled again it was awsome i was so happy. So i pull in the right lane thinking i beat everyone when the viper pulls beside me and totally MURDERS me(that thing is TOTALLY INSANE). But hey two kills and a murder isn't bad especially when the murder is from a viper haha. I'm proud to be a spec v owner tonight.

It was a cool night and we all blew off an older mustang too it was fun.

Not a kill... but....

I was coming up on a light yesterday on a two lane road. Two cars in my lane already stopped, and none in the other lane. I was admiring the BMW X5 4.4 SUV next to me, but decided I would rather be in front of him at the light. So I jumped on it, pulled in front and stopped to wait for green. I was staring at this sweet piece of German engineering behind me, and noticed that it was Green Bay Packer player. They all have a special Lambeau Field players parking pass that some of them put on their front window. Anyhow... light goes green, I start off, not fast or anything like I am racing... but quick just for fun. Well the guy decides that he is going to prove that his $50k BMW doesn't take crap from a little 4 door Japanese car. So, he guns it and swerves over into the lane beside me as soon as there was a gap, and tries to take me. As soon as I saw him jump on it, I did too. He did get a bit of a jump on me, but I had him by a car length, plus the effort of having to switch lanes just from starting in front of him. We were pretty even in accelerating up to about 50 mph... he didn't gain much on me at all. But from 60 to 90 he pulled hard, and just about pulled even with me before he had to shut down to make his exit.

It was pretty cool. He even flashed his yields at me.

I am not even close to claiming this as a kill. It was the faster car, and I won't pretend that I was better. But, I felt good just for sort of holding my own. Car and Driver lists the x5 with the 4.4 liter v8 as hitting 0 - 60 in 6.7 seconds. That is a few ticks faster than a spec... especially a stock one like mine.

Anyhow.. it was cool.. just thought I would share

Wassup everyone, well you can add another kill to my list. I ran that same SI like 3 more times, so I'm not claiming that one. The one I am claiming is a 95-97 DOHC Prelude. Ran him twice. Hey Zane11, good job on the kills you had. Also I wanted to ask you, when you attached those pictures did it take a long time? Because I tried like 3 times and it wouldn't let me do it. I lowered it Saturday, it looks pretty good. I'll try again and see if I can get it to work.

ok i know i'm still the new guy on the block, so heres a little bit about myself. my names gianni i'm 22 and i'm on active duty status in the navy stationed here in good ole hick-ville norfolk, va. home to i'd say at least half of the damn SI population on the east coast (those things are so friggin annoyin...the all sound like they got potatoes shoved into their exhausts or something!) i'm originally from simsbury CT. i bought my prized posession 2 weeks ago so i think i'm gonna go celebrate our anniversary tonight with a little bit of honda and a little bit of acura and maybe a side of hyundai (if they would ever come out and play) anyhow. babyskyline, the rims look great i wanna do mine now too, maybe a little bit lighter though but yours look phat. i got a white one too and i wanna paint my calipers eventually. and zane i too got to race my buddies 300zx last week and it was a great race...he's got a 5 speed though non-turbo still with 130K or something whit didn't work to his advantage oh well i can still say i too beat a Z they aint got shyet:flipa: i got a few more kills this weekend driving up to CT for the long weekend...2 integra's, and eclipse doped out and buick park avenue piece o crap (some old guy decided to jump on it at the light and i did too...wasn't even funny) and another civic ex that was loud as hell! i did get my first speeding ticket with the car though...78 in a 55 in virginia but he knocked it down to 74 so i wouldn't get reckless driving...i wonder what woulda happened if i raced that crown vic??? :devil: oh well. glad i didn't!

I don't know what inspires people to jump, but I had a friggin mini-van try to run me this morn! For a good mile, he tried to get infront of me! I just gave the car a little extra, didn't even rev up to 3200, I was shifting at 2800, but the guy kept on trying! More humorous than challenging! I guess he thought his v-6 was fast!!

CHECK THIS OUT, Now I don't know if you guys out there are familiar with the Drag racer Kenny Tran who has the shop in Dallas called Jotech Motorsports. Anyway I went to his shop this past Saturday to get my springs put on and one of the techs asked me what I am doing on the 3rd of August. I told him nothing much, just going to Hot Import Nights. Well asked me if I would be interested in being in there booth, THE JOTECH BOOTH!!!!!!:D Talk about being at the right place at the right time. I asked the tech guy like 2-3 times "are you sure that Kenny wants my car in the Jotech booth"? He told me yeah, because they don't have any SpecV's around that they like and they like what I have done to the car already. On top of that they already know that there's really nothing out for the car. He asked me what else do I plan on doing to the car. I told him about the front bumper and the CF hood. The front bumper I'm getting is from www.import-trader.com. It's on the front page of the website, you have to scroll down a little bit. He said that he spoke to Kenny and Kenny said that he likes it. There are gonna be around 30 cars in the Jotec booth. Oh yeah, did I mention that the import model NatashaYi is gonna be one of their girls? I'm probably gonna put a 3 pod gauge in there as well. Air fuel/ratio, oil temp, and water temp. Man do you guys realize how much publicity that booth gets? Import Tuner, Sports Compact Car, Super Street, Maxitout video, Import Lifestyle Magazine. Maybe even when they make those MaxItOut videos or Import Lifestyle Video's you might see mine in one of them. Hopefully the right people will like my car. All right talk to you guys later.:alien:

I have had those xenon plasma bulbs for quite some time now, they do put out a blueish tint with the white beam it projects. But it's not as bright as the bmw's and lexus head lights. They seem pretty weak for the first two weeks or so, but after that period of time the bulbs seems to get brighter. I also baught a pair of fog bulbs with the head lamps. I found mine on e-bay for $13 / pair.

Yeh Damion i'm very happy in the area i live, i get tons of races. Good luck with that Hot Import Nights thing again too. Afterwards are you going out on the free way with lots of cars like pinyoot4you, that would be cool. And about the Xenon head and foglights when i talked to the guy about it he said its the same kind that audi,bmw, and lexus all use which is what i want. And i'm pretty sure that they do put off that bluish color, which i heard is also much better lighting.

Oh yeh and yesterday was awsome. I finally got to race my friend in his black spec v. We raced two times and I won both of them i was so happy, i didin't wanna lose to my own car. First time light turns green we both spin i spin very little he had a longer spin so i pull away right away, then he got out of first gear to quick and had another pretty bad spin goin into second i ended up beaten him pretty bad maybe a car and a half. Second time light turns green same thing both spin he spins a tiny bit longer so i pull ahead, and then its close the hole rest of the way. i saw his bumper out of the back passenger window. But it was fun to race my own car.

And first launch i dropped the clutch at about 2700rpm and secnond launch i launched a bit igher not sure what it exactly was but i didn't drop it that time. I think first launch was better.

Hey Zane, there are two different wattage outputs for Xenon bulbs, 120w and 65w. The 65w is the correct one we are suppose to use according to our manual, I asked the sales Rep when purchasing mine, and they didn't recommend using higher wattage because they are not sure if the car's electrical Sys can handle it (don't want to burn any wires, or anything at all). As for the 65w bulbs, they are not as bright compared to the bmw's, lexus, or s2k. My friend gots a s2k and we compaired side by side, his is brighter by a long shot. Again, they seems to get brighter (to me at least).

Yeh thanks but i just missed the post before i went to get them, but i asked the salesguy and he said he gave me the right wattage cause i asked him.

It only takes a day for them to come in, but since today is friday they wont come in on a saturday or sunday so i could get them monday. But im gonin away monday and coming back either friday or saturday so thats when ill get them and take pics so you could see them.

The salesguy said that these bulbs are the most similar to the HID headlights which are one the bmw,lexus,audi and mercedes and are still legal. So i really hope they have that bluish purple tint to them.


And yesterday on my way home from getting the bulbs a 300zx was on my ass and a big hill was coming up and we flew up the high zipping threw the traffic it was cool. When we got be everyone he pulled in the other lane and tried catching me but i very very slowly was pulling away. Really fun it most of been a non turbo.

I'm kind of mad but at the same time I had a crazy ass night last night. We were at this one spot to race, now normally this spot is pretty good for racing. Sometimes we will race there until we get bored, anyway there was some racing going on. You guys remember that SI w/ all the mods and the TypeR internals I told you about? Well I'm always waiting to run him, but I wasn't gonna run him until after my car cooled down. Were good friends so it's not like he's scared to run or anything. But as soon as we were gonna run, someone said COPS,COPS,COPS. Yo I swear you would think you were watching The Fast and The Furious. Everyone was scattering like roaches once the lights turn on and when I was getting ready to get out the parking lot the cop was coming in where I was trying to get out. My girl was like GO GO GO, so when he went up the entrance I noticed that he wasn't gonna block me in, YO I TOOK OFF. Everyone was going left, going right. There had to be like almost 30 or so cars leaving. But while I was driving away I was hitting my steering wheel because I was pissed off, EVERY TIME I wanna run my friend Brent w/ that SI, it never happens.

Oh yeah that's not it either. There was this UGLY ass green Del Sol that got blocked in, for some reason this person with a NON VTEC Del Sol, with two other people in there as well decided to try and run away from the cops. Now I was already gone with like 8 people behind me, we pulled in this HOME DEPOT parking lot to regroup and all of a sudden,about maybe 5 minutes later we saw two cop cars fyling on the main street, come to find out that they were chasing that Green Del Sol. When we all regrouped they told me that the cops had the driver and the two girls on the floor w/ guns out on them. Like I said, one crazy ass night. Today we are just gonna cruise. Don't worry, once I race that SI, I already told him that I want on tape whether I win or lose because I got some people that wanna see it. Talk to you guys later.:alien:

Hey I don't know what bulbs you guys are getting, but I want those that the BMW's, Lexus, and AUDI have. You guys know what I'm talking about, that nice purpleish color at night. Are they available for our cars, is that what you guys are buying? You guys are actually the only ones that know about it, but in a few months I am gonna get a 6inch TV in the car. I'm gonna have it so when I open the flip up compartment above the stereo, it's gonna come out. At show's, just to boost up the cars image some more I'm gonna be playing that CD-ROM movie the whole time, maybe even some recorded street racing of me and other cars.

The bmw and lexus and other cars that come with the Xenon headlights they are HID which we cannot get, we could get the PIAA bulbs that look just like the HID, but not the hole HID set up just a buld that has the bluish purplish tint. Very close in looks though.

When i get back from my trip im picking them up and ill take a pic. Ill get them either friday or saturday,

Just thought I'd share my favorite kill with you all. Last week my brother in law was down with his 2001 VW GTI 1.8T. He has an upgraded ECU and makes 197 HP and 240 TQ. He kept talking trash about my V, so we had to throw down!

Well, there was no compition. I beat him 4 times in the 1/4 mile. In his defence he couldn't get his power to the road. If he launched at over 2000 rpm, he would just sit and smoke the tires. If he launched under 2000 rpm, the turbo wasn't spooled and the lag killed him. But, when we ran with a 20 mph rolling start, he beat me by 1.5 car lenghts, but, I did miss third.

i had doubts beating a 00-up GTI, but until now :eek: much props on the kill man, u must be a good driver... good job, nice kill :greenchai

Naw I'm back again. I'm at my job right now checking my email. I will be done with the school on the 8th of August. Man I'm so pissed off because my front bumper isn't here yet. I ordered that damn thing two weeks ago. I ordered my hood DGmotorsports last Tuesday. I have a show coming this weekend and I really want the front bumper to arrive for that. I'm not expecting the hood anytime soon, as long as everything is here for Hot Import Nights. Oh yeah, it's still on. They called me about where to meet and everything. I am gonna be so nervous bringing my car to that show. About the video, I am gonna have to get in on tape again. Because when my girl was recording, the damn camera died, out of all races, why that one?

I can't believe that idiot actually thinks for a minute that a V6 Mustang will beat the new 350Z, is he stupid!!!! I promise that i will get that race on tape for ya and everyone else.

Incase anyone still comes here and checks things out, i totally roasted an older celica toinght. Light turned green had him the hole time beat him by like 2 cars lengths maybe little more.

I ran a Ford Taurus SHO yesterday. We ran from a light to about 150-160 km/h. He had me through first and some of second but then I started to pull. His front tire was at my back door by the end.

Do you guys think he was really pushing it, 'cause those big V8 SHO's really go?

I don't know much about those SHO's, but they should be able to hand us our ass's if they try.

I am not sure how hard this guy was trying this morning, but I wasn't trying all that hard. . . But I got beat by one of those Chrystler M300's. That is a pretty big car. It looked like an older (45-55) larger (210-260) guy, and I didn't expect him to take off like he did. But, he got in front of me!

My wife and I were out looking to get a second new car yesterday. She really likes the 3.5 SE Altima. Has anyone tested the new 3.5SE yet? If yes what was it like? Hear of any praise/complaints with the new platform? It looks like a beast on paper. Blow our doors off!

But i think the spec v could take it not sure though. I bet he was tryin. And yes the altima is a great car, but are you getting rid of your spec v for it ? Both great cars but id rather the spec.

those SHO's are screamin fast. but from what i understand they don't have a v8....they have yamaha v6's with a manual tranny. either way they should definitely woop on a spec if the guy know's how to drive.

Hey what up everyone? Just thought I would let you guys know that we had a car show yesterday and the Best Nissan class, yours truly took first place. My competition was a 98 200sx, 2000 Altima, 98 sentra, and one more that I forgot about. I could not believe it. Yo, my car club took first in almost every class. We are gonna take some more pics of everyones car because we have done alot of upgrades to our cars, body kits, engine work, headlights, etc.. But guess what else happened. My front bumper came in like wednseday and I didn't find out until Friday. I was so pissed. I had cancel the order on my Hood, ONLY because if I didn't I would have LITERALLY broke once the ordered would have cleared. So on the 15th I am gonna order it again. They kept my order from so I'm still straight. I am also gonna order those STILLEN headers, you guys do know that STILLEN has headers right. Check it out. I should have my bumper on Tuesday. Tomorrow I am going over to the shop and first see if it fits, then he will start to paint it. Hey tell me what you think of this. I am gonna get a portable DVD player or put a T.V. by my car and play the Cartoon movie that they made for our car, MASTER OF THE SIXTH SPEED. I'll deffinately take pics of my car at the show and of the models in the booth that I'll be at. Also if there any other SpecV's there in the show I will take some of theres as well. here's the story, we were on the fwy, and i pulled up next to the SI, i had a head start and started to pull away far, then he downshifted and still was pulling away, then my friend behind me he squeezed, becuz he heard the pssshhhh sound and a lot of smoke commin out of the exhaust, anywayz, he started catching up sooo quick, but he was too far back to beat me, the closest he got was his bumper was on my side mirrors going about 100-110, we were going at the same pace after that, then he slowed down and put his hazards giving props, (i think)..... he could've creamed me if we went at the same time and he squeezed at the right time, it was all luck... but that's still a kill, lol

Oh man that is totally awsome. I can't belive you beat it the si is pretty wuick and with NOS congrates thats awsome. I didn't think anyone even looked at this thread anymore i got a couple of kills.

About two nights ago I was just driving home and I was passing this blue camaro v6 or Z28 I don't know. But anyway as I was passing him he got on his gas, then I was like OH HELL NO so I down shifted and got up to him then he floored it again and so did I, I was pulling on him. He got mad because his girl was in the car with him and I guess he saw a sleeper little sentra and thought that he was gonna smoke it. NOPE I don't think so. One day I did mess with a Z28. Once again I was just driving around him because he was doing some stupid shit in front of me when I was behind him at a red light. So when it turned green I went around him he started to speed up, so once again I hit it. Well I have no idea if he's messin with me or not, but all I know is that I heard is engine when he floored it. When I was in Dallas I was right with a Mustang GT 2000+. Zane 11 I can't wait for the hood either. After I get the hood I'm gonna pick up the headers from Stillen, oh yeah if you didn't know they have a lightened flywheel for our cars as well. After that, it's waiting for Nismo and for other companies to produce a nice cat-back for the car and once other stuff is made, move on onto the cams gears, camshafts, etc... you know what I mean. I was reading b15 sentra. net a little ways back and someone was saying that BLITZ and JUN are planning on making cams for our cars. Just a rumor, no facts yet. Oh yeah I don't know if I told you guys yet, but I spoke with GREEDY and they said that they are planning making a full cat-back for the new Sentras and the Altimas. Talk to you guys later.

WOW!! You guys are on some serious delusional trip here!! Ok, your cars aren't FAST or QUICK! Your cars aren't Skyline GT-R's! Your cars aren't gonna hang with ANY late model Z/28 or Trans Am under any circumstances, and you look pretty silly trying too! The head mechanic at Gettel Nissan here in Sarasota Florida owns an '02 V-spec that has all the available bolt-ons in it as well as a re-mapped ECU. He couldn't match my Jetta GLI from a dead stop, or on a roll on the highway. Every time I floored it at 75, he got WAY small in the rear-view-mirror. At 130 he was 10+ car lenghths back and my car is bone stock!!
Look, you have a nice car in the V-spec. It's good looking, pretty quick for what it is, and a bargain to buy. Don't make yourselves laughing-stocks by making such absurd claims!!

First of all I never CLAIMED that it was a Z28 alright, I said,if you were reading closely that it was a SOME KIND OF Camaro. If the one I was messing with was bullshitin then he needs some serious practice. Listen, I've had a NOS fogger kit on my Camaro for 6 years. I've gone through at least 25 bottles and have never once has a "psssshhhh" sound come from it unless I was tapping the bottle, and it certainly wouldn't be audible from outside of the car. And I have never had "a lot of smoke coming from my exaust" while on the nitrous. I'm suspecting alot of adolescent boys who don't even drive yet are on here posting this B/S....

The dealership put a dent in my hood, and just some service headaches. My car is fine. Running great! They are just a headache and a half.

let me break this down to u.... yes he was squeezing NOS, and yes it was a civic SI....we were running on the fwy and passed him up and he down shifted to catch up and i was already 6 car lengths ahead of him b4 he squeezed nos, and when he was up to my side mirror, after that, we were goin the same speed and he let off, and that's that

I know for a fact that the specV I raced was about as tricked-out as any out there, and he was giving it his all chasing me. He admitted it straight-up too me with a smile.

Hey SER Speedalot, how bad did you beat that new SI? I mean considering how much I beat the RSX TypeS which has 200hp 2.0L, I know I would kill the SI which has 160hp 2.0L. I haven't ran one yet but I am deffinately waiting for one.

Oh and totally I agree with MOSS on the SI thing. I can tell you right now that there is no way you beat an Turbocharged SI, especially a 2000 one at that. I can tell you personally from experience that my friends SI which is turbocharged ran a 13.4 at the track. Now I have a SpecV and I can't even come close to his ass and you were running a stock 98 auto, hhhmmmmm...........I don't think so bro.

there's no way you can beat a SI turbo, even if he mis-shift, he would of still smoked you......i should know, i've got smoked by one (can't think of a definition that can mean more than smoked, cuz man was he gone)

and with the mustang, it couldn't have been a 5.0 at all, cuz those things are pretty quick also

i didn't beat the si by much. my friend that i raced weighs 130 pounds and i weigh 270. so i think that might have something to do with it. every 100 pounds is a tenth of a second. so on the street i'm sure that makes a difference. anyway, you'd definitely beat an si.

I just want to say that our car is fast for a stock car but no way we can beat an turbo SI, or no 5.0 mustang...I don't know what u guys are talking about.....If ur on the highway or at the light that doesn't really count.....I talking bout when u guys are at the line and run a 1/4 mile...Cuz on the streets people usualy wond take off cuz there are cops everywhere and they might not even be ready...so If u don't beat someone from the line at some kind of strip....please don't make such big claims, cuz that just makes us look bad......Also the RSX-S is a fast car so don't get to over confident just cuz u beat one...the other guy probally didn't know how to drive right....Trust me I know, my boy has a RSX-S and I beat him , but only cuz he sucked at driving,,but when I drove his car I beat him in my Spec also...So the RSX Vs. well, racing is 50% car 50% driver. so it doesn't really matter what you say. if you beat one, you beat one. and babyskyline has beat many type s and i've beat them as well. so don't get your panties all in a bunch. also, it doesn't matter if you're on the track or the street. if someone rev's me and then they're too scared to race cuz of cops, then i won. it doesn't matter. you don't see redo's on speed channel cuz someone missed a gear. racing is a one time thing. if you suck at driving thats your problem.

Well I'm not here to get mad, just here to give my opinion. All right John........ first off what's the this YOU GUYS ishhh? You might wanna go back and read who said that they beat those cars because unless I'm mistakin, I don't think any of the people with SpecV's said anything about beating a Turbo SI or a Mustang 5.0 because we pretty much know that it wouldn't happen. Second, when I first started to run the RSX TypeS, the guy who I first beat is a really experienced driver and he even came up to me after we ran like twice, he came up to me in the parking lot and even admitted it. He said I didn't know that those cars were that quick. Another reason why I'm gonna stay confident is because after running about 5 different people with the TypeS and not loosing, you tell me.....how would you be. Are you telling me that every single one of them doesn't know how to drive? Then when I went to the track last Saturday, I lined up with one and I beat him by a car. So guess what I'm not making any bogus claims here, but I'm claiming that one. Not to mention, I'm a pretty good driver myself. Listen, people I have no problem admitting when I lose to someone, but until a TypeS beats me, then YES I am gonna stay confident. Oh yeah there was something that I wanted to ask. Why wouldn't you count a race on the street. I don't know about you but a race is a race, if someone lines up with you, whether your at a light or on a long straightaway strip and you beat them.....why wouldn't you count that? Well this used to be a kill list thread. So here are two kills for me.
Green GSR and a riced Eclipse GS.
Yesterday a green GSR on my way home. Okay check this out. When I was getting on the highway he was behind me and then he hit so when he passed me he was at like 4-5 grand, meanwhile I'm still at like 2-3.5 grand and I was still hanging with him then he slowed down like he won that one. I said OH HELL NO, I went up to him. I got my ishh ready downshifted to 3rd and then we hit it, bye bye GSR like three times. This guy wouldn't give up. Then we caught a light, right as we pulled up to it to stop it turned green, smoked his ass, gave him a nice little hazard light goodbye. Then today it was this brownish bronze Eclipse GS with a APC sticker on the winshield and a tip on the exhaust, he was messing with me for like 2 miles. I said lets take this to I-49. Now there is a light before you get to the highway. Now this is the funny part, when it turned green we both left, YO I messed up so bad in 2nd, it was like this long ass pause, I still caught up to him and passed him like nothing then by the time we got on the highway I was like 5 cars in front of him, gave him a nice little hazard light for about 10seconds. I'm such a dick.:devil:

Yeah your right, it was the the last body style GS, Even the new Gt would have gotten smoked. I ran one at the track and beat him by 2+ cars. I even ran the new body stlye Spyder one night and destroyed him, I will say though, it was an automatic so that's the only excuse that I will take.

Hey whats up guys......a word about the V6 Gt eclipse....My friend took his Gt to the track and ran a 15.02 completely stock.....pretty good...but the funny thing is that I beat him before...maybe he just got a really good start or the AEM CAI adds enought to make up the difference...But anyways I'm tak'n my SpecV to the track on Tuesday....I'll let u guys know the results....

i'm going to the infamous street track tonite in riverside, CA. I'm not sure if i'm going to run or not, but let's see. There's too many cars out there that's out of my league (turbo ITR's, 300zx TT, swapped hatches, swapped crx's, etc.) Hopefully i'll find some cars that's on my level, peace

the only car i raced was zane and his spec v. it was awsome, everyone watched as we burned out and we were neck and neck, but then i skipped third gear and went right to fifth on accident. it was the second day i had the car anyway hahahah

i had a great time last night....
me and my friends went and played bball and we saw my friend's friend over there and see what my SE-R is made of, a couple of minutes later we went off to a secluded area and i ran his integra.

One of my homies flagged us and i launched pretty well and jumped a 1/2 car ahead, the whole way i was in the lead until the end where he slowly creeps up for the win. We raced twice and it was the same results... he won by a bumper.
I lost the race but it was really fun because i didn't know that i could keep up with him.
he has LS VTEC 4 door integra with i/h/e...man i was happy cuz i only got CAI.....wait till i get my AEBS headers, and i'll race him again

Man tight ass race, good job. Check this out, friend of mine just got his SI swapped with a LS V-tec, and he also turbocharged it. Think I'll be able to hang with that? I THINK NOT!!! I just have one question for ya. What do you launch at, or do you even launch? What is the best way in your opinion to launch our cars so that we don't get so much damn wheel spin. I have to say when I do get that down I will beat a lot ishhh because when I did get that kind of start where you don't have that much wheel spin, as soon as we started I was just pulling away before I even got into 2nd. I have only done that like 2-3 times. I have got to get that down. I think I just feathered it a little bit, didn't just dump it at like 2000-2700grand like I normally do. Matter of fact if you look closely at that video of that guy racing the TypeS and the Civic, look at his wheels. You can tell he doesn't just dump it, he lets it off lightly a little bit. Oh yeah, I meant to ask what AEBS headers are like. First off are they a good company, when do they come out?

but it was really a GSR engine, i was pretty impressed myself though when i thought it's LS VTEC, oh well, only i can dream,

we beat a mercedes C240 in a stock 01' auto GXE :flipa: , it was through heavy traffic, and he was horrible at driving his car. so why did this guy get beat by a GSR integra? shuoldn't he have smoked the guy? i don't mean that offensively at all...

I find that hard to believe...

Anyways, about the GSR...if we were running in a 1/4 mile duration, i would of beat him by a hair, but we went until 100 or so and he beat me by just a bumper. Keep in mind that he has more than bolt ons, he also got a Mugen ECU.

Friend of mine got a 99 GSR, completely stock. We ran 3 times, I beat him all 3. The last one was pretty close because I need to really know how to launch correctly. But still pulled on him the whole way.

geez i think it's been about 2 months since i've posted something on here. i read all of the posts and i'm real impressed...i'm glad you guys showed that guy "murco" what's up. well a few nights ago i had my best kill yet...i was driving home from norfolk, va (i'm stationed there in the navy) to connecticut on the new jersey turnpike and i found an older rx-7...probably a 90 to 92 or something...we started messing with each other right in the beginning of the turnpike where it's 2 lanes but nothg could really happen because there was too much traffic...but i could tell this thing was heavily modded...he must have spent 400 easily on the exhaust alone cause i could tell they were rytek's and my buddy has the same ones on his 93 300zx. well this guy got off at the first rest stop and i kept going but i flashed my high beams at him. then about 30 miles later i got off at one...but when i got on again i looked in my mirror to my surprise i saw his ass again, this time the turnpike had divided and it was 3 lanes of smoooooooth sailing, no traffic. so of course he flashed me and got next to me and we we both got on it...yo it was the sweetest scene ever. the car sounded great and we were actually neck and neck the whole way while i redlined it in 4th and hit 100...then 5th came around and i started to pull and this guy was pissed...so we played with each other for the next 40 miles...everytime we got an opening in traffic this fool tried to go on the right on me...but to no avail. then he flashed me at a rest area and i got off with him and we talked to each other and he shook my hand and i found out his exit that he was suppossed to get off at was about 50 miles back! he just stayed on there cause he wanted to have some fun and see if he could take me. his name was tomand he was from maryland...so if anyone ever sees a tan rx-7 with maryland plates and super blue lights, give him and ass whoopin! it was great and it made me 9 hour drive a hell of a lot more fun! alright thats all i got...talk to you guys later, keep up with the great posts! peace...

well, for some reason the issue with the crown vic thoroughly amuses me. there has NEVER in ANY state been a supercharged crown vic cop car ( I know because I am a police vehicle historian and own the only hatchback mustang used for dps duty in the state of texas) they do indeed use a 5.0 v-8 BUT they use a different fan clutch(which actually gives about 10hp and a reprogrammed computer. The moral of this story is that even though our spec v's are QUICK, they are NOT FAST. v8's should be left alone, especially ones like the 5.0.

I agreed, I have about 10 personal experiences getting spanked by 5.0's. And I still haven't learned my lesson yet hehe.

That was the highest reading while going around Road Atlanta in August, wearing Hoosier racing tires. The street tires (Goodyear F1's!!) started to chunk when pushed hard around the track and only recorded 1.12g.
The Camaro has a '94 Corvette independent rear grafted to it, a fully integrated perimeter frame, a reconfigured front-end with upper a-arms (from a Vette, no more shock-towers and struts), and a lot of chassis messaging by Vette Brakes and Guldstrand.
How much does this cost?? Never added it up over the 13 years I've owned the car. If I guessed, with drivetrain, chassis, interior, it would be around $35K total. I bought the rear-end assembly for $600.00 when the original died (325 horsepower is all they are good for) and was quoted $1,100.00 for a Moser 9". I installed it myself at a local circle-track racer's shop. The factory front suspension system lacked any compressed camber-gain and i found a '96 Corvette front-end assembly for $300.00 and adapted it with a 3"x4" square tube subframe that I ended-up connecting to the rear for a full-frame. Vette Brakes supplied the fiberglass composite springs and Koni shocks and Guldstrand supplied the control-arm upgrades. The car actually rides better than with the factory suspension!

Goodness navy!! I smell jealousy when I should be smelling admiration. This man seems to have built quite a car. Automotive racing isnt all about WHAT kind of car you race or your preference of cars but rather what YOU can do with the car YOU own. Racing can cost an extreme amount of money(trust me, i know) and not everyone can afford it BUT this guy has built his Camaro over 13 years i believe he said. First, to stick with an automotive project such as his seems to have gone through is quite a task in itself not to mention the design and custom fabrication that this required. I agree that this might not be the place for a Camaro owner but wait a minute, why the hell not?? He may be trying to rouse you or whatever but this car is BADA$$- give the PERSON that owns it some props. I own a 1990 mustang that is outrageous(low 10's, oh yea, it's a street car too) but I also LOVE to drive my new SPEC-V. Basically, does it matter what kind of car is driven or that the sport we all practice(legally or illegally)(note: this guy was at a track) is being practiced by millions around the country. In millions of different types of cars. Just think about it for a second, without rivalries, there'd be no racing but without respect for the sport and it's PLAYERS, there would be no gratification. We all race for a reason, let someone else share that reson their own way.

recently I've taken on some faster cars

98 model mustang gt (on the track, he got a shitty launch and never caught up, he ran like a 16.4, we had HORRIBLE weather that day)
mazdaspeed protege - not really a kill, we raced from 80-130 and were dead even the whole way
integra type-r - raced from 90-135, yes he beat me, but the reason I'm putting it in here is it was much closer than I expected. Started at 90 with his front bumper at my rear going the same speed. At 110 we were still in the exact same positions relative to each other, going the same speed, at 120 we were next to each other, at 135 he was a full car in front of me.

The mazdaspeed and ITR races happened at 3-4am on a 4 lane (each direction) freeway with no one else on the road, so it wasn't much of a safety risk for anyone else.

I have a 97 auto 4 cyl. eclipse under my belt (99 gxe stock) but lost to a volvo 8whatever

God I hate those ITRs. It's mostly rich little teenagers driving em around here but it seems like none of them know how to race. I've yet to race one but soon... :evillol:

So what kind of mods do you have on your car? And waht year is it, etc...

I have AEM CAI, Hotshot Header, Progress Springs, Greddy Evo cat-back, and an Unorthodox Racing pulley.

Hey just a quick question. How big is the difference in acceleration and 1/4 time wise between a spec v and a plain SE-R both 2003?
