95 ZJ ..should i do tube nerf bars or running boards side steps??

I own a 95 grand cherokee and wonder if i should do they clean look of a running board that looks stock and get it painted to match my jeep....or should i get those black nerf bars tubular bars.....wonder what would work better and what looks better

any ideas??? suggestions... can i get a poll?

Personally I would go with the nerf bars. Running boards are also nice because like you said you can paint them to match. After owning both, I prefer the nerf bars just for the fact they clean off much easier and faster, as the running boards they will catch every thing and hold water. Thats my 2 cents any ways.

stroker's right. the running boards catch everything including salt in the winter, causing premature rusting of lower panels. this is a big deal with the grand because of the lower plastic moldings that hide the early signs of rust!

I agree, The Nerf bars look nicer, the running boards give a more cluttered (oversized) look.
