Question- ?
95 Aurora

I Had My Transmission Rebuilt A Little Over A Year Ago And It Has Been Running Like Brand New. Except That Sometimes When The Engine Puts Pressure On The Tranny It Jolts. I Can Usually Prevent It By Adjusting My Driving Habits I Think That When They Changed The Torque Sensor It May Have Been Out Of A 96' Or Newer, Perhaps Out Of Alignment. I Am Also Thinking That My Problem May Be The Ecm.

Could My Computer In The Car Be Fooled Into Thinking That The Torque Sensor Is Still Messed Up?

If The Torque Sensor Wasnt Hooked Up Right, What Would The Car Do?

I Have Never Scanned The Car And The Engine Light Doesn't Work So I Dont Know What Codes She's Kicking Out. I Know That The Tranny Seems To Be Doing Good Otherwise And The Fluid Is In Great Shape. The Jolting Isnt A Quarter Of What It Was Before The Rebuilt. A Scan Would Cost Over $80 And I Am Just Asking These Questions As General Info? Maybe When I Come Around To Putting Some More Money In My Aurora I Will Already Have An Idea Of Where To Go.

I wonder if this could be caused by a bad engine or tranny mount. Could you dulicate the problem, by shifting the gears while the car is sitting still. If you can, maybe a friend could watch the engine with the hood up, to see if there is any unusual movement of the drivetrain.

I Have Replaced The Mounts, All But The Upper Engine Mount. I Am Waiting To Do That One Because I Have A Steering Pump That Im Waiting To Put In Once Mine Acts Up. The Changing Of The Mount Requires Removal Of The Steering Pump.

The Engine Moves A Lot!! The Mount Doesn't Look Bad Though. When It Warms Up A Little, I Will Make Another Attempt At Removing And Replacing The Mount. Thanks

Hello again,
My problem seems to be getting worse. I think that I am going to grab a 'new' computer at the bone yard and try iT.
