Vacuum Shifter?DanRico17 06-18-2002, 07:08 PM That's not a technical name or anything, but i was driving down to the beach one day, and this eclipse was driving next to me. Everytime he shifted it sounded different than normal manuals do. I can't think of a better way to put in than a vacuum. It's that same sound that all of the cars have in Fast and the Furious. What is that? This is probably a stupid question, but i don't know. Thanks alot. Bryan8412 06-18-2002, 07:56 PM i think you're hearing a BOV (blow-off valve) which releases pressure in the turbocharger and intercooler DanRico17 06-18-2002, 10:56 PM oh yea. i didn't even think of any other parts than the shifter. thanks alot! enginerd 06-19-2002, 09:02 AM Some ricers like to install kits that emit a sound like a blow off valve under the hood.
