Hello all. Just bought my daughter a 94 Bonneville with 171,000 miles on it. Paid 800.00. Runs smoothly, decent body, but has a few problems, hopefully minor, that I hope someone can point me in the right direction to get fixed. 1) Water on driverside floorboard front, and underneath rear seat driverside also. Moonroof drain clogged? 2) Inflatable Restraint light on all the time, will not go out. 3) service engine soon light also does not go out. When driving every so often a ding ding ding ding tone sounds. Seems to repeat every few minutes for a little while then will stop for awhile. Thanks for any and all help.

Scan for air bag codes and engine codes, this is basic. Get the carpets up and dryed, get the padding under the rug replaced or mildew will form. Blow out the moon roof drains not too much press. you could blow the tubes off. With the carpets up water test the car with you inside (using a helper of course) and try to see where the water is comimg in.

Do these cars have the same passenger side cowl leak problems like the Grand Prix? If so, that could be the source of the wet passenger side floor. The ding ding ding may be a bad ignition switch. Fairly common on these cars and that is one of the symptoms, along with other warning light, dash light, and electrical anomalies.

The dinging happens when the gas tank is between quarter and a half full. Filled up the tank today and it didn't happen at all. I can live with that. The leaks are coming from the sunroof drain on drivers side. The tube has several pinholes in it. How hard is it to replace the whole tube? Lose track of it when it goes down beside dash. Both doors need new weatherstripping on drivers side, noticed that in the carwash today. Once I got to looking, the stripping has shrunk and pulled away from the doors in a few places. The passenger side rear also had a small leak, but not bad. Its got a few problems, but it seems to run well, and if it lasts my daughter a couple of years, I'll be happy. The last car she had lasted 4 months before being totaled on the freeway, she was lucky to walk away from that one.
I was surprised to see the drain tube for the roof was so thin. It actually looks just like the conduit for wiring. I thought it was at first.
