I have a 1993 isuzu rodeo and I need to know how to remove the tailgate? Does anyone know how I do this?

Is the latch stuck and you can't open the tailgate at all? Does it have a tailgate release button? Or can you get it open and are just trying to take the whole thing off?

that's what i was thinking. get a small hammer and nail head sinker. a couple of taps will take it out.

hopefully the frame on the wrecked truck isn't tweaked, this could lead to alignment problems with the hinges and door jams.

Just took a quick look at mine. Other than the side hold-up cables, it looks like the tailgate is just bolted onto the truck body through the hinge. I didn't see any knock-out pins. Appeared to be about a 3/8" bolt (or whatever that translates into in mm). Looks like you can also remove it from the tailgate side of the hinge, but the bolts are of 2 different sizes. That might be easier to get to, but in either case I'd use a lot of WD40 or rust cutter of some kind.

Where do you check transmission fluid at since there is no dip stick and how do you add the fluid if you change the filter in a 2000 isuzu rodeo??? Thanx
