I just got my transmission replaced during winter break. I've only had my car back for about 2 weeks, and I just got into my first car accident. My front is squished in, and the damage seems to be mostly cosmetic. However, my mother always told me to not add collision to my insurance, particularly to keep the policy cost down, and I didn't know why it was necessary until now (I feel like I'm nearly an expert on how ins works now--what an enlightening experience!). Basically, I'm pretty broke and I REALLY need my car, particularly to find a job to pay for repairs. I am asking for any information on where I can get good parts either for free or pretty-gosh-darn-cheap. I only live here to go to college and my mechanic up north would have a heck of a time finding parts down here. I have a 1994 Honda Accord EX coupe. My front bumper is all messed up, my hood is bent, and some of my front lights are shattered. The inside parts seem to be fine, and it was driveable last night to drive to a friend's house for safe-keeping (my campus would tow it as being unsafe) except the radiator overflow container is bent a little, but we can't tell how much (can't get it out, it's all squished in). I can't drive it until I get it checked out, and the plastic guard piece on the bottom is majorly dragging, and the right side tire is touching something when I turn. Please, help me!
