Silverstar Bulbsroaingphantom 01-25-2006, 12:27 PM I have the Silverstar ST on my TB, however i would like to change them to something brighter (not true HID). what would you recommend? I dont mind keeping the Silverstar however the right side blew out after about a year so i am forced to change it anyway. SHould i stick with Silverstars or is there a similar/better option out there? Thanks for the advice. 2004 CHEVROLET Trailblazer LS Low beam headlamp 9006 9006ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: the whitest and brightest Halogen 9006XV XtraVision Halogen Upgrade: Up to 20% Brighter 9006CB Cool Blue Halogen Upgrade: White Hot; Super Cool; 100% Street Legal 9006LL Long Life Halogen Upgrade: Lasts one and a half times longer High beam headlamp 9005 9005ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: the whitest and brightest Halogen 9005CB Cool Blue Halogen Upgrade: White Hot; Super Cool; 100% Street Legal Parking light 3757ALL maxwedge 01-25-2006, 02:12 PM I can tell you Silstars in my TB went 7 mo., I complained to Sylvania they gave me another set free, 7 months later, done. No more for me, but the stock lamps stink. sharpetx 01-25-2006, 02:24 PM After being a little dissappointed with the Silverstars on my last one, I switched to the Wagner Tru-View bulbs for my 06 TB. I find them to a little brighter than the S.S, and arguably just as "white". If you have an O'Reilly Auto Parts in your area (?) they have them on sale right now for $12.99 too! maxwedge 01-25-2006, 02:34 PM Got'em at Napa, 3 months ago w'll see how long these last, not as bright as the Silstars though. (Wagners) betts687 01-26-2006, 12:37 AM There is something better. I bought a pair of silverstars and then came across something better on another forum a few days after. They are called HIR bulbs. They put out 75% of the briteness of HID. You can buy them on ebay, just search for HIR 9012. ScarabEpic22 01-26-2006, 01:22 AM I have all my lights as SilverStars, and I love the brighter light, but Ive already had a fog bulb go after about 4 months. I just saw some pics of a 5000K HID kit that look really promising, and if I can get a kit for ~$400, I will be happy. This will probably now be my next mod after a tranny cooler in the spring. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
