1993 Grand Caravan Dashboard RemovalJohnnyPecs 06-17-2002, 07:33 PM I need to get some work done on the air conditioning evaporator inside the car's driving compartment. I've received two widely different estimates due to the work (or lack of) to remove the dashboard and get to the unit. One dealer says several bolts are removed and the dash pivots upwards, another says you have to take it apart piece by piece by piece, and the pivot option wasn't until later models. The price difference on the labor is close to $300. I'd prefer to go into this with a bit more knowledge, but the references I researched do not go to this detail. Anyone know the true scoop? Thanks for the help! lazcano 06-12-2004, 02:21 PM I have the exact same problem, I can't seem to get the Dash off. I have all the bolts loose and the darn thing just won't budge. Does anyone know if there is something on the other side of the hood? Brent053 07-13-2004, 10:05 AM There are 4 bolts holding the evaperator/heater core box to the firewall. the nuts are is the engine compartment. I'm doing my 95 evaperator this weekend and I'm not looking forward to to taking the dash out and putting it back in. How did yours turn out. Any tips would be appreciated. houtendvan 07-17-2004, 05:02 PM *kick* :grinno: I would also like to know more Dennis vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
