Thinking about adding some Lucas Transmission stabilizer. I know Trans fluid is a touchy subject. Anyone any advice?

Lucas is a good product but I recommend either Sea Foam or Lube Gard additive for transmissions. They both will free up sticky solenoids and the Lube gard is good for stabilizing the transfluid. Nothing wrong with Lucas but the other two are more widely used.

My D/C Factory manual is very specific about not adding Tranny additives other than Diagnostic dyes to find a leak. Consider who wrote the manual, and decide if that is good advice or not.:screwy:

There is a lot of chatter about ATX-3 vs. ATX-4 fluid. Anyway, the fluid is supposed to be changes at 30K intervals, so maybe you should consider an "upgrade" to ATX-4. My dealer did it for $99 bucks for y 98 neon, and the shifting issues went away.
