ok, 3.0 grancaravan 2000 4 sp trans after about 10 min driving it starts to whine, seems to whine higher as I rev up the motor even in Neutral, here is the tricky part, I can shut off the engine and start it right back up even while going down the road and the whine is gone for about 5 min or so??? any ideas?

Several possibilities. Front pump in the transmission, alternator whine or tensioner on serpentine belt. I would try to locate it at least to a more specific location like front or rear of the engine. This will help to diagnose the issue.

the belts have been changed less than 1500 miles ago, they were changed before we went to PA (from SC) for new years, the man said pulleys and everything looked good, the one belt was just dryed out, when I looked under the hood it looked as if it was comming from the front of motor with the front of motor being toward radiator, maybe top over transmission, I could not tell for sure, I checked all the fluids and they were all full, van has 93,000 miles

dealership/garage called, said trans needed to be torn down, said some clutch debry was causing the filter to get clogged, said it needed to be torn down to see what was wrong said my warrenty would cover it more than likely, said my fluid looked clean and it did not look as if it came from abuse.

JUST AN UPDATE!

Thanks for the update. But get in writing that they will cover the repair before you have them tear it down or you could get stuck with a huge bill!

I called the company before I took it up there, they said they will pay for diag fee if it is under warrenty, my father-in-law works at the place and my wife knows the man at the place (dealership) that calls warrenty company, he said it is not my fault all fluids look fine, the warrenty co says they will pay as long as it is not abuse and fluids are good, it should be ok. continental warrenty is what I have, I will keep you updated
