Hey, sorry to post such a bland post, but I need to swap in a newer engine if i hope to sell this car for what it's really worth. I have a 93 Si hatch and the engine has 300,000ish miles.
My questions are, first, whats the tranny name that bolts up with this engine, i figure i should replace that too. Also, is this the only sure way top get the worth of my car? It's PERFECT (or will be in the next month, just needs some light rear bodywork) and aside the shaved hatch and this huge milage number (even though the engine runs perfect, leaks nothing, burns nothing). And I'm not sure everything i'll need on the new engine. Any help would be great, I'm just trying to fix up and sell this car to someone who can actually work with it.

swapping the engine with another z6 isnt going to change the price of the car much. the whole swap for a z6 is around $500. if your going to sell to someone who is going to actually work with it, then, swapping out the engine is pointless.
