So I am racing this guy right... After I am done I stop at the stop light and when it's time to take off I let go of my clutch and the car starts to bounce and it goes into gear. Now the car bounces as if I am driving on the shoulder of the highway. Anyways normally I let the clutch out 75 percent and it goes into gear and now I let it out and it goes into gear being like 25 percent out. Like I said when I let go of the clutch pedal it shakes the car like a seizure and then rolls fine. Also it was hard to get into my gears but I replaced the slave cylinder today and it worked out ok so far.... Any ideas? Is it a possibility my clutch is out? It's just way too sensitive now and I don't know why. Thanks in advance

I'm willing to bet you killed your clutch.

my buddies sol did the same thing... eventually itl start making a grinding noise and do it REAL bad.... all you need is a new clutch, VERY easy with the civic d16z6... if you have good mechanical aptitude, itl take you 4 hours or so, thats how long it took me(3 hours to find a cherry picker before that lol)

Yeah I already bought a new transmission 3 days ago.... next pay check I am buying the clutch and a throwout bearing. Then I gotta pay someone to do it since I don't have a cherry picker :( But ok thanks guys...

rent one from a local reental place... mine was $25 a day... cheaper than paying 50-60 an hour for a mechanic to do it... WAY!!!

i hate to challenge you skill, but are you sure your rpm's are high enough before you disengage the clutch? other \wise a a new clutch would solve the clutch problem. are you on that stock crap or have you modded up?

that would be your throwout bearing making that noise. i bet u screwed up ur throwout bearing stop street racing and ull save urself some money.do you put ur car into gear while u start engaging your clutch?
