:bananasmi Well.. i decided last summer that i wanted to just buy the bends and stuff and have EZ weld the pipes together.... because the price for a 3" turbo back exhaust now is borderline insane.... EZ and I took some rough estimates on the 91 AWD eagle for piping.... just want to check them out with you guys just incase one of you might have done the same project...

2.5" - 3" Reducer
3" 60º bend
8 Feet of 3" straight pipe ( stainless hopefully)
1 Foot of Flex pipe
1 45º bend
2 3" flanges
I was thinking maybe a 4" muffler or something... so it just doesn't look like a barent pipe coming out from the bumper...:iceslolan

Then after all that is built.. then i have to think about brackets for my car so it can be held on properly, right now the exhaust is held on by close hangers and one rubber bracket lol... so any input would be awesome,, ideally this project should only cost $150-$200 thanks

Do a search on Kevin's posts, he lists the parts he used (I think).

I'm going to make mine too, I'm just going to cut shit, hold it up to check fitment, recut the shit if needed, and weld it. Mikes exhuast has 1 bend after the engine, it should be a very hard thing to do.

Aaron, I measured all those and i'm pretty much the best measurer in the world. What wouldn't work with those bends? Like thor said there is one bend after the dp. Pretty tough...

I built my own exhaust with 3 inch mandrel bends. I went with a 2.5-3 inch reducer(until i get a ner downpipe) then went with piping straight back until i got behind the rear diff, then put a 90 degree on, then a straight pipe, then a 90 turning beside the gas tank, and then the muffler. I dont have any pics yet, but it was east and took 2 bends!

I did post a full writeup on racingknowledge, but that was years ago. They changed the forums around, hopefully the search still finds it. I think I reposted it here as well, but I can't recall. I basically used a RRE downpipe after deciding that 230 was a steal considering how much work goes into one. From there I ran a straight 3" length back, used a 45 to kick the muffler out like the buschur setups, then a 45 to come back straight and act as the "tip." The cat back was like 140 bucks, most of which was the 60 dollar unltraflow. A couple months later I had a very slight bend, maybe 10 degrees, put in the long straight section to get it to tuck up under the 2g a little better and keep it off the rear diff. Even on a press bender it hardly changed the diameter at all. And as it says on that page linked to above, I added the presilencer, which helped a lot.
