Is this a new noise that just developed, or is it something that has been there since you have owned the car?

Where does the noise seem to come from? inside the passenger compartment? the engine compartment?

Gurgle usually suggests to me air in the heater core when engine water pump is at high speed causing gurgling sound. Has the water level in the radiator (not the overflow container) been checked?

Been going on for a year or so....bugs me and worrys me. I hear it when I'm driving and all I can say is that it is in front of me. I thought that I would attempt to bypass the heater core and see if the noise would go away. Of course Buick didn't make that easy when the inlet is 3/4" and the outlet is 5/8". If I bypass the core and the noise goes away, do you know of any decent instructions on how to replace the core without screwing up the dash? I'm also looking for instructions on how to replace the passenger compartment air filters. Any help is appreciated.

PS fluid level in radiator and overflow container is high.

How is your temperature? Are you getting adequate heat? A gurgling sounds to me like it could be boiling coolant. I suggest a Chilton manual for thorough instructions for replacing the heater core, if that's what you decide to do. You should also replace the thermostat when you replace the heater core.
The cabin filter is located inside a plastic housing under the dash on the drivers' side.

Temp is normal
Regarding passenger air filter: Can you elaborate on what it looks like? I've used a mirror and it sure doesn't stand out.

Have the same problem with 02 PA. It doesn't matter the temp but seems to occur when accelerating. Gurgle seems to be a good descriptions to the sound.
